Dubai Fashion Week is the official fashion week of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. [1] Upcoming women's and men's autumn/winter fashions are showcased in March of each year, and upcoming women's spring/summer fashions are showcased in October of each year, while upcoming spring/summer fashions are showcased in June of each year.

Dubai Fashion Week is one of the world's five most important fashion weeks alongside London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week. [2] [3]

History and operations

Dubai Fashion Week was founded on 7 February 2023 by Arab Fashion Council by fixing a strategic partnership with Dubai Design District. The schedule begins with London, Milan, Paris, and New York ending with Dubai as the evolution of the already existing Arab Fashion Week founded by the Arab Fashion Council in 2015. [4] [5] In partnership with Dubai Design District, Dubai Fashion Week is organized by Arab Fashion Council, a non-profit organization that is responsible for hosting fashion event-based shows in Dubai.

Designers

The Dubai Fashion Week has seen participation by both Asian and Non-Asian talent.[ citation needed ] Guest designers, who have previously been included in the Dubai Fashion Week calendar include names such as Iris Wan Herpen, Jean Paul Gautier, Antonio Marras, Blumarine, and Moschino.[ citation needed ]

Jacob Abrian is the founder and chief executive officer of the Arab Fashion Council (AFC), the world largest non-profit fashion council as an INGO for Arab World representing the 22 Arabic countries members of the Arab League. He founded the Council at an age of 22 being the youngest founder in the world representing an international authority. In 2015, Abrian founded the Arab Fashion Week, a fashion event hosted in Dubai twice a year. The Arab Fashion Week is known as one of the world's five most important fashion event alongside New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dubai Design Week</span>

Dubai Design Week is an annual event held to celebrate and promote design and creativity in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The first Dubai Design Week took place in 2015, and is held annually at venues across the city, with Dubai Design District being the main hub. With an extensive programme of free-to-attend exhibitions, talks, workshops, the 2022 festival attracted over 130,000 visitors and as such it is considered the largest creative festival in the Middle East.
