Television was introduced in Czechoslovakia in 1953. Experimental projects with DVB-T started in 2000. Finally on 21 October 2005, multiplex A (DVB-T) was launched with three channels of Czech Television and one of TV Nova and radio channels of Czech Radio.

Stíny v mlze is a 2022 crime drama television series by Czech Television. The premiere on ČT1 screens took place on 3 January 2022. The series was directed by Radim Špaček and the script was written by Zdeněk Zapletal. It consists of 12 episodes, each presenting a different case from Ostrava and its surroundings. The main roles of the investigators were played by Petra Špalková, Jiří Vyorálek and Petr Panzenberger. The daughter of Petra Špalková's character was played by Anděla Tichá, the real daughter of the actress. On 22 March 2023 Czech Television announced the series was renewed for season 2. Season 2 premiere was scheduled to start broadcast on 8 January 2024 but was delayed following 2023 Prague shooting as one episode is dealing with a topic of school shooting. The start of broadcast for season 2 was eventually set for 8 April 2024.
Czech Century (Czech: České století, is a Czech historical television series. It deals with the background of important historical events in Czech history since World War I to the Dissolution of Czechoslovakia. According to the creators, it is not a pure documentary series, but rather a film series "exposing the taboo of key events of our modern history". In particular, the series studies the psychology and mental motivations of individual actors of historical events in the moments when these personalities "had a knife to their throats" and were aware that their decision would affect not only their loved ones, but the entire nation for many years to come. The authors deliberately do not evaluate whether the persons in question behaved right or wrong from a historical point of view.

Odznak Vysočina is a Czech crime drama television series which premiered on TV Nova in 2022. It was filmed in cooperation with Vratislav Šlajer's company Bionaut. The team of investigators consists of Dana Skálová, Kateřina Vlčková, Petr Bach, Karel Šmíd and Vašek Kocián. Series is directed by Andy Fehu and Pavel Soukup. First episode premiered on 13 January 2022. On 25 July 2022, TV Nova announced that the series was renewed for season 2 which would consist 8 episodes. It started broadcast on 5 March 2023. The series is renewed for third season which started shooting in September 2023. Season 3 starts broadcast on 12 May 2024.

Eliška a Damián is a Czech fantasy romantic television series starring Emma Smetana and Robert Urban that started broadcast in 2023. It was announced in June 2023 by FTV Prima as the main new program for Autumn 2023. Season 2 and 3 were filmed before the broadcast of first season while season 4 was planned according Extra.cz. The series was eventually cancelled after season 1 due to negative reception and low ratings. Season 2 which was confirmed to be finished was shelved.
