Ducks Ltd. are a Canadian indie rock duo from Toronto, consisting of singer and rhythm guitarist Tom McGreevy and lead guitarist Evan Lewis. [1]

History

The group originated under the band name "Ducks Unlimited". Their first EP, Get Bleak, was released under that name. [2] In April 2021, the band signed to both Carpark Records and Royal Mountain Records, where the aforementioned EP was re-released by the label. [3] [4] In October 2021, the group released their debut full-length album, Modern Fiction. [1] [5]

In January 2022, the group released a new song titled "Sheets of Grey". [6] Along with Illuminati Hotties, the band released a cover of "Head On", by The Jesus and Mary Chain in March 2022. [7]

Their second full-length album, Harm's Way , was released on February 9, 2024. [8] The album was a longlisted nominee for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize. [9]

Free I.H: This Is Not the One You've Been Waiting For is a mixtape by American indie rock band Illuminati Hotties. It was self released on July 17, 2020. The mixtape comes after accusations to the band's former label, Tiny Engines, of violations of contractual agreements by their artists. The band bought out its contract with Tiny Engines with a cash settlement and royalties to the label on a future project. This situation inspired the creation of the mixtape, which was released to fulfill a contractual agreement with Tiny Engines.
