Dukagjin Pupovci (born 5 June 1964) [1] is a Kosovo-Albanian professor, education expert [2] [3] [4] and a critic of the education system in Kosovo. He has contributed to the development of important policy documents and has co-authored numerous studies and articles in the field of education and research in Kosovo. [2]
Pupovci holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in mathematics and was a lecturer at numerous universities, including the Universiteti i Prishtinës in Pristina. He was the executive director of the Kosovo Education Center from 2000 to 2021. He was Deputy Minister of Education in the Government of Kosovo from April 2021 to December 2022. [5]

Albin Kurti is a Kosovar Albanian politician who has been serving as Prime Minister of Kosovo since 2021, having previously held the office from February to June 2020. He came to prominence in 1997 as the vice-president of the University of Pristina student union, and a main organizer of non-violent student demonstrations of 1997 and 1998. Kurti then worked in Adem Demaçi's office when the latter became the political representative of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Kurti has been a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo since 2010 in three consecutive legislatures.

The University of Pristina is a public university located in Pristina, Kosovo. It is the institution that emerged after the disestablishment of the University of Pristina (1969–1999) as a result of the Kosovo War. The inauguration of the university was a historical occurrence not only for the people of Kosovo, but for the whole Albanian nation. On 15 February, the solemn Parliament session took place, which is also proclaimed as The University of Pristina's Day. In the composition of the newly established University of Pristina were faculties with their headquarters in Pristina: the Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law and Economics, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Now the University of Pristina has 17 faculties, of which 14 are academic faculties and 3 are faculties of applied sciences. Contained within the emblem is a translation of the name into Latin, Universitas Studiorum Prishtiniensis.
The Kosovo men's national basketball team represents Kosovo in international basketball. They are controlled by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo, the governing body for basketball in Kosovo. Kosovo has been a member of FIBA since 13 March 2015.
Kosovo made its Olympic debut as a member state in 2016. Its team is organized by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo (OCK), created in 1992 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee on 9 December 2014. It won its first medal in its debut appearance in 2016, when judoka Majlinda Kelmendi took gold in the women's -52 kg category. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Nora Gjakova won gold in the women's judo -57 kg class, and Distria Krasniqi won gold in the women's judo -48 kg class.

Bujar Faik Nishani was an Albanian politician. He served as the president of Albania from 24 July 2012 to 24 July 2017.

FC Feronikeli 74, commonly referred to as Feronikeli 74 and also known as Feronikeli is a professional football club based in Drenas, Kosovo. The club play in the Football Superleague of Kosovo, which is the top tier of football in the country.
Visar Bekaj is a Kosovan professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Turkish club Hatayspor and the Kosovo national team.
Since Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia, international recognition of Kosovo has been mixed, and the international community continues to be divided on the issue. Bajram Begaj is an Albanian politician and military officer who is the incumbent president of Albania since July 2022. Having had a long career in the Albanian army, he served as the 26th Chief of General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces from July 2020 to June 2022. Politically independent, on 3 June 2022, Begaj was officially nominated by the governing Socialist Party as the candidate to the fourth round of the 2022 presidential election.
Miss Grand Albania was an Albanian female beauty pageant founded in 2014 by a Pristina-based event organizer chaired by Sherif Pacolli, Lens Production. In 2018, the competition license was transferred to the modeling agency managed by Aleks Tanushi, Aleks Fashion Events (A.F.E.), and its headquarters was also relocated to Tirana. The pageant winner represents the country at its international parent contest, Miss Grand International.
