Duminga Kakuhu Ndala is a Namibian youth leader and politician who currently serves as Chairperson of the Namibian opposition, Landless People's Movement (Namibia) Youth Command Element. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Ndala was educated at the University of Namibia where she graduated with a political science degree in 2019. [5]
Ndala has been the inaugural leader of the LPM Youth element. One of the key youth members of the party's youth organizers, she leads its youth wing. In 2020, she contested for Namibian local authority elections. [6] [7]

Land reform is an important political and economic topic in Namibia. It consists of two different strategies: resettlement, and transfer of commercially viable agricultural land. Resettlement is aimed at improving the lives of displaced or dispossessed previously disadvantaged Namibians. Farms obtained by government for resettlement purposes are usually split into several sections, and dozens of families are being resettled on what had previously been one farm. Transfer of commercial agricultural land is not directly conducted by government. Would-be farmers with a previously disadvantaged background obtain farms privately or through affirmative action loans. In both cases, the "Willing buyer, willing seller" principle applies.
The Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO) is a national student organisation in Namibia. It was founded on 2 June 1984 in Döbra, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of the capital Windhoek.
The government of Namibia consists of the executive, the legislative and the judiciary branches. The Cabinet is the executive organ of government, implementing the laws of the country. It consists of the president, the prime minister and his deputy, as well as the ministers of the Cabinet of Namibia. The legislative organs of government are the National Council and the National Assembly. They make the laws of the country. The judiciary organs of government are the courts. The highest court of Namibia is the Supreme Court. There are also the high courts and lower courts.
Coloured people in Namibia are people with both European and African, especially Khoisan and Bantu ancestry, as well as Indian, Malay, and Malagasy ancestry especially along the coast and areas bordering South Africa. Coloureds have immigrated to Namibia, been born in Namibia or returned to the country. These distinctively different periods of arrivals, from diverse backgrounds and origins have led to a diverse Coloured population. This diversity was even further exploited by South African officials who referred to three distinct groups amongst the coloureds, namely: "Baster", "Cape Coloureds" and "Namibian Coloureds".
Job Shipululo Amupanda is a Namibian activist and politician who served as Mayor of the City of Windhoek, in office from 2 December 2020 to 1 December 2021. He is an academic at the University of Namibia before he co-founded the Affirmative Repositioning movement, a movement setup by radical youth activists of the SWAPO Party Youth League in November 2014.
Joseph Kalimbwe is a Zambian politician, author and activist. Previously, he was president of the African Union youth simulation in 2014 and president of the student representative council of the University of Namibia in 2017. He has written for the Namibian Sun, and has published three books including Persecuted in Search of Change in 2017, The Pain of An Empty Stomach in 2015 and Teenage-Hood & the Impact of the Western World in 2014.
The Landless People's Movement (LPM) is a political party in Namibia. It is led by former deputy minister of lands and resettlement Bernadus Swartbooi, who serves as its president and chief change campaigner, and Henny Seibeb, the party's deputy leader. The party has four seats in parliament, which are occupied by the Party's President, Bernadus Swartbooi, Mootu Utaara, Isaacks Edison and Seibeb Henry.
Dimbulukeni 'Dee' Nauyoma is a Namibian youth activist who along with Job Amupanda and George Kambala co-founded a radical youth movement known as the Affirmative Repositioning in November 2014. Prior to the formation of the Affirmative Repositioning, he served in the SWAPO Youth League until 2014. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Secretary General of the Namibia National Students Organisation.
Angelina Ndinouange Immanuel is a Namibian youth activist and educator. She first rose to national attention after the decision to challenge the ruling SWAPO Party in the Ondangwa elections. The decision led to condemnation from members of the party, among them Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa.
The LPM Youth and Students Command Element is a youth and student wing body of the Landless People's Movement (Namibia). Formed in 2018, the wing has been led by Duminga Ndala since its inception.
Utaara Mootu is a Namibian politician, youth leader and activist. She is an elected member of the Parliament of Namibia following the 2019 elections, representing the Landless People's Movement (Namibia) and serves as the party's parliamentary spokesperson.
Patience Masua is a Namibian politician and lawyer. She serves as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly, after being appointed by President Hage Geingob in April, 2021, becoming Namibia's youngest Member of Parliament. Previously, she was Secretary General of Namibia National Students Organization and served in the UNAM SRC as student parliamentary speaker.
Kevin Vuong is a Canadian politician serving as the member of Parliament (MP) for Spadina—Fort York since the 2021 federal election, sitting as an Independent. While Vuong was nominated as a Liberal Party candidate, the party disavowed him days before the election, following reports of an ongoing lawsuit against him as well as a dropped sexual assault charge from 2019, which he had failed to disclose during the party's internal vetting process. As nominations had already closed by that point, Vuong remained on the ballot as a Liberal and was elected.
