Dwight Perry (born November 9, 1987) is an American basketball player and coach. He is the head coach of the Wofford Terriers men's basketball team.
Perry played three years at Kentucky. He played in 19 games for the Wildcats, averaging 0.3 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.1 assists per game. [1]
He started out as an intern for Stanford and he coached there for two years. Then he became a graduate assistant for VCU, he would coach there for three years. Next he became an assistant coach for Furman for five years. On April 18, 2019, Wofford hired Perry as an assistant coach. [2] On September 10, 2021, the Terriers promoted Perry to Associate head coach. [3] After head coach Jay McAuley resigned after taking a month long leave of absence, Perry was named the interim head coach on December 5, 2022. [4] On March 21 the Terriers removed the interim tag and made him their next head coach. [5]

Michael Jerome Cooper is an American basketball coach and former player. He played for the Los Angeles Lakers during his entire career in the National Basketball Association, winning five NBA championships with the Lakers during their Showtime era. He was an eight-time selection to the NBA All-Defensive Team, including five times on the first team. He was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 1987. In 2024, it was announced that Cooper would be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Daniel Ricardo Manning is an American college basketball coach and former professional player who is an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Colorado. Manning played high-school basketball at Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, and played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 14 years. After retiring from professional basketball Manning became an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Kansas. He won the national championship with the Jayhawks in 1988 as a player, and again as an assistant in 2008. He is the all-time leading scorer in Kansas basketball history with 2,951 points. The next closest player to his point total is Nick Collison, who is 854 points behind Manning.
Darrell Walker is an American college basketball coach and retired professional player. He is currently head men's coach at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Walker played in National Basketball Association (NBA) for 10 seasons, winning an NBA championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1993. He played college basketball for Westark Community College and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Wofford Terriers are the athletic teams that represent the Wofford College, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in intercollegiate sports at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Southern Conference since the 1997–98 academic year. Wofford and the other SoCon members play football in the Football Championship Subdivision. Prior to the 1995–96 year, the Terriers played in Division II in all sports, and until the 1988–89 period, Wofford's athletic teams were members of the NAIA. The football team plays in Gibbs Stadium. The basketball teams moved to the new Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium for the 2017–18 season.
Michael Kent Young is an American college basketball coach and currently the head men's basketball coach at Virginia Tech. He was hired on April 7, 2019, after a 17-year stint where he went 299–244 (.545) as the head coach at Wofford College.
John Thurston is a retired American college basketball coach. He was the head coach of the St. Francis College women's basketball team from 2012 to 2018. Thurston was born in the Bronx, New York and is an alumnus of Archbishop Molloy High School and Seton Hall University. Through both high school and college, Thurston was a two sport player playing baseball and basketball. After graduating high school in 1966, Thurston was drafted by Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1966 MLB Amateur Draft.

Wofford is coached by Dwight Perry, who was promoted after previous head coach Jay McAuley left the team during the 2022–23 season. Wofford plays its home games at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, opened for the 2017–18 season as the replacement for Benjamin Johnson Arena.

Originally from Dallas, Perry played college basketball at McLennan Community College and the University of Idaho. As a senior at Idaho playing under head coach Larry Eustachy, Perry was the starting point guard on the 1991 Big Sky Conference Tournament championship team that appeared in the 1991 NCAA Tournament.

Fletcher Magee is an American basketball player for Budućnost Podgorica of the ABA League and the Prva A Liga. He played college basketball for Wofford College. While playing for the Terriers, he was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year by the league's media in consecutive years and set the NCAA record for made three point shots in a career. His career NCAA three-point percentage of .435 and free throw percentage of .908 are among the highest ever.

The 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 6, 2018. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded with the Final Four in Minneapolis on April 8, 2019. Practices officially began on September 28, 2018. The season saw Zion Williamson dominate Player of the Year honors and media attention, while Virginia won its first NCAA Championship. The NCAA Championship Game between Virginia and Texas Tech would mark the final NCAA game with a 20-foot 9 inch three-point shot line, as it moved out to the FIBA standard of 22 feet and 2 inches the following year.

The Terriers, led by first-year head coach Jay McAuley, played their home games at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina as members of the Southern Conference (SoCon). They finished the season 19–16, 8–10 in SoCon play, to finish in seventh place. They defeated The Citadel, Furman and Chattanooga to advance to the championship game of the SoCon tournament where they lost to East Tennessee State.

As the No. 6 seed in the SoCon tournament, they defeated UNC Greensboro in the quarterfinalse before losing to Chattanooga in the semifinals.
