Eamon Law (died 2007) was an Irish handball player for Kilkenny and Mullinavat.
Eamon won both the 60 x 30 and 40 x 20 doubles with D. J. Carey at minor level in 1988 and 1989. He also won the All-Ireland Novice Singles title and a 60 x 30 Intermediate title with clubman Pierce O'Keefe. In 2007, Law won the 40 x 20 doubles title with Eddie Burke and was later defeated in the All-Ireland final against Tyrone.[ permanent dead link ] Law won a junior hardball doubles champion in 1999 with Eddie Burke. He also won national league medals with Kilkenny and a 40 x 20 under-21 doubles with Graham O'Brien in 1991. Michael 'Ducksy' Walsh of Kilkenny has organised a new tournament entitled 'Eamon Law Memorial Handball Tournament' which will be held at Law's Millinavat club in his native County Kilkenny.
Eamon had just started playing a singles match at the Talbots Inch handball alley on the Freshford Road in Kilkenny, he collapsed and died on the handball court, aged 37. He was later pronounced dead when brought to St Luke's hospital in Kilkenny. [1] He was married with two children.

Gaelic handball is a sport where players hit a ball with a hand or fist against a wall in such a way as to make a shot the opposition cannot return, and that may be played with two (singles) or four players (doubles). The sport, popular in Ireland, is similar to American handball, Welsh handball, fives, Basque pelota, Valencian frontó, and more remotely to racquetball or squash. It is one of the four Gaelic games organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). GAA Handball, a subsidiary organisation of the GAA, governs and promotes the sport.
Vytautas Kevin Gerulaitis was an American professional tennis player, known as Vitas Gerulaitis. In 1975, he won the men's doubles title at Wimbledon, partnering with Sandy Mayer. He defeated Killian Carroll from Cork in the final as the Irish dominated the singles with the four semi final berths taken by Irish players. His rivalry with Luis Moreno has been likened to the Federer–Nadal rivalry in tennis. Brady will likely attempt to achieve the record of 12 US National singles titles, which will take him to 2018 and just weeks short of his 39th birthday. Brady has stated he won't compete for his 6th World Handball Championship in 2018.
