East Fork One Hundred and Two River is a stream in the U.S. states of Iowa and Missouri. [1] It is a tributary of One Hundred and Two River and is 31 miles long. [2] The stream is monitored at Bedford, Iowa by the NOAA. [3]
The East Fork One Hundred and Two River rises just southeast of Lenox in Taylor County, Iowa. It flows southwesterly passed Shaprsburg to the east then Conway to the west, before arriving at Bedford, Iowa, the largest town on its path. From there, it travels alongside Iowa 148 southwest to the Missouri border where it empties into the Middle Fork One Hundred and Two River just northwest of Hopkins, Missouri.
There are four named tributaries of the East Fork One Hundred and Two River: Daugherty Creek, Ash Branch, Hog Branch, and East River. [2]
The One Hundred and Two River is a tributary of the Platte River of Missouri in northwestern Missouri in the United States. It flows from source tributaries in southwestern Iowa about 80 miles (130 km) to the Platte. Via the Platte, it is part of the watershed of the Missouri River. Much of the river's course has been straightened and channelized.
The Nishnabotna River is a tributary of the Missouri River in southwestern Iowa, northwestern Missouri and southeastern Nebraska in the United States. It flows for most of its length as two parallel streams in Iowa, the East Nishnabotna River and the West Nishnabotna River.
