The East Lothian Yacht Club or ELYC is based at the harbour in North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland. It was founded in 1928 and moved from its temporary base at the Fishermans Hall to the current building in 1931, since which time various expansions and redevelopments have taken place. Some of the ELYC's buildings are now shared with the Scottish Seabird Centre. The interior of the club was completely remodelled in 2003.
The ELYC regularly hosts national and international yachting competitions. It is also accredited by the Royal Yachting Association for various training and safety programmes. The 2006 calendar included national championships in the Laser and Medina classifications.
In December 2005 the club was awarded £33,500 from SportScotland in recognition of its commitment to sailing and sail training. Several current and former members of the club compete at the highest levels of sailing, with several Olympic prospects.

East Lothian Yacht Club was founded in 1928, initially renting the upstairs of the Fishermen's Hall as its base. In 1931 the club moved to its present location, an old granary built circa 1802, which it leased from the Hamilton Dalrymple family. This is a category B listed building. Later the club leased the lower store from the Town Council.
In 1990 the club bought the "watchhut" (formerly the Royal Observer Corps lookout post which had a direct phone link to the gunnery control at Inchkeith) and the lower store. This was followed in 1993 by the purchase of the old lifeboat store, next door to the lower store. In 1997 the club bought the clubhouse from Sir Hew Hamilton Dalrymple. An ambitious renovation project was planned, and after successfully raising the required finance, the project started in October 2002 and finished on time and to budget in May 2003.

The Club has one Avon SR 4.7 RIB, and three Valiant DR490 RIBs (Rigid Inflatables) which act as rescue and coach boats, each with a Honda BF50 engine The club also owns:

Club dinghies are available for club members to sail as long as they have reached RYA level 2 or the equivalent and there is a club rescue boat on the water.

Bruce Kirby designed the Laser in 1970 with an emphasis on simplicity and performance.
Bolton Sailing Club is an inland sailing club located close to the village of Belmont in Lancashire to the north of Bolton, Greater Manchester, in the West Pennine Moors. The club sails on Belmont Reservoir which provides a large area of open water for sailing. Bolton SC was one of the first Clubs in the UK to sign up to the RYA OnBoard Scheme and is also an RYA Sailability Foundation club. In 2009, Bolton SC was awarded RYA Champion Club status.
San Diego Yacht Club is a yacht club located in San Diego Bay. It is located in Point Loma across from a spit of land known as Shelter Island.
The RS300 is a modern racing sailing dinghy made by RS Sailing. The RS300 is a one-design, single-handed, hiking dinghy with a PY of 972. Designed by Clive Everest and first produced in 1998, it is inspired by the International Moth, of which Everest was a successful designer.
The Indian Harbor Yacht Club is a U.S. boating organization, based at 710 Steamboat Road in Greenwich, CT, with access to Long Island Sound. The club, founded in 1889 in New York City, is based mainly around personally owned yachts and pleasure boats, but also has a long history of competitive races. The New York Times noted that "Indian Harbor ranks among the most influential institutions of its kind in the country."
Burghfield Sailing Club is an inland sailing club located close to the town of Theale in Berkshire near Reading in the south of England. The club and lake are easily seen from the M4 motorway as the westbound lane approaches Junction 12. BSC was one of the first Clubs in the UK to be awarded RYA Champion Club status.
Alexander Robertson & Sons was a boatyard in Sandbank, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, from 1876 to 1980. The yard was located on the shore of the Holy Loch, not far from the Royal Clyde Yacht Club (RCYC) at Hunters Quay, in the building that is now the Royal Marine Hotel, which was the epicentre of early Clyde yachting. Alexander Robertson started repairing boats in a small workshop at Sandbank in 1876, and went on to become one of the foremost wooden boatbuilders on Scotland's River Clyde. The "golden years" of Robertson's yard were in the early 1900s, when it started building some of the first IYRU 12mR & 15mR racing yachts. Robertson's was well known for the quality of its workmanship and was chosen to build the first 15-metre yacht designed by William Fife III. More than 55 boats were built by Robertson's in preparation for the First World War and the yard remained busy even during the Great Depression in the 1930s as many wealthy businessmen developed a passion for yacht racing on the Clyde. During World War II the yard was devoted to Admiralty work, producing a wide range of large high-speed Fairmile Marine Motor Boats. After the war, the yard built the successful one-class Loch Longs and two 12-metre challengers for the America's Cup: Sceptre (1958) and Sovereign (1964). Due to difficult business conditions, the Robertson family sold the yard in 1965, and it was turned over to glass-reinforced plastic production work until it closed in 1980. During its 104-year history, Robertson's Yard built 482 numbered boats, many of which are still sailing today.

The RS700 is a single-handed racing dinghy built by RS Sailing and designed in 2000 by Nick Peters and Alex Southon as part of the RS series and built in 2001. It is raced in many sailing clubs around Britain, with a PY number of 850 and a D-PN of 73.3.
The RS Tera is a one-man monohull dinghy in the RS Sailing range of sailing boats. It is recognised by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) as an international class, and is a popular boat for beginners and for children to race.
