The East Texas Multi-Use Facility aka the East Texas Treatment (XQ) facility is a private prison located in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas, owned and operated by the Management and Training Corporation under contract with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. [1]

The facility provides treatment services to offenders in In-Prison DWI Recovery programs, Substance Abuse Felony Punishment programs, and Intermediate Sanction Treatment programs. As of 2011 it was the largest licensed treatment facility in the state, [2] and "possibly the country," according to MTC's Regional Warden for the State of Texas, Kerry Dixon. [3]

Opened in March 2004, this facility houses:

MTC owns three secure facilities in Rusk County for state prisoners: the East Texas Treatment; the Bradshaw State Jail, placed in idle status as of August 2020 because of declining populations; [4] and the Billy Moore Correctional Center. [5]

Long Bay Correctional Centre

The Long Bay Correctional Complex, commonly called Long Bay, is a correctional facility comprising a heritage-listed maximum and minimum security prison for males and females and a hospital to treat prisoners, psychiatric cases and remandees, located in Malabar, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The complex is located approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) south of the Sydney CBD and is contained within a 32-hectare (79-acre) site. The facility is operated by Corrective Services NSW, a department administered by the Government of New South Wales.

Parklea Correctional Centre, a privately managed Australian maximum and minimum security prison for males, is located at Parklea, in the north-western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. The facility is operated by MTC Broadspectrum and has a current capacity for 823 inmates. The Centre accepts prisoners charged and convicted under New South Wales and/or Commonwealth legislation and incorporates a minimum security work release centre for inmates nearing release with a capacity of 80. A Compulsory Drug Treatment Correctional unit is incorporated within the centre.

The Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center (ADTC) is a secure correctional facility operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Its purpose is to provide treatment and incarceration for certain criteria meeting repetitive and compulsive male sex offenders who have been sentenced under the New Jersey Sex Offender Act.

Drug courts are judicially supervised court dockets that provide a sentencing alternative of treatment combined with supervision for people living with serious substance use and mental health disorders. Drug courts are problem-solving courts that take a public health approach using a specialized model in which the judiciary, prosecution, defense bar, probation, law enforcement, mental health, social service, and treatment communities work together to help addicted offenders into long-term recovery.

Marcy Correctional Facility is a medium-security state prison for males in Marcy, Oneida County, New York. To some extent Marcy specializes in providing alcohol and drug treatment programs. All of Marcy is on one level; there are no stairs, making it especially suitable for disabled prisoners. It also has a higher-than-average number of vocational programs. One building was built with "classrooms" for lessons in how to clean an office and a toilet, lay bricks, repair electrical devices, and the like.

W.J. Estelle Unit

W. J. "Jim" Estelle Unit is a prison located on Farm to Market Road 3478 in unincorporated Walker County, Texas, United States, 10 miles (16 km) north of central Huntsville. The prison, with about 5,459 acres (2,209 ha) of space, is operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The unit, which opened in June 1984, was named after Ward James "Jim" Estelle, a former prison director of Texas.

Management & Training Corporation or MTC is a contractor that manages private prisons and United States Job Corps centers, based in Centerville, Utah. MTC's core businesses are corrections, education and training, MTC medical, and economic & social development. MTC operates 24 correctional facilities in eight states. MTC also operates or partners in operating 22 of the 119 Job Corps centers across the country. They also operate in Great Britain, under the name MTCNovo.

Hawaii's Opportunity Probation with Enforcement (HOPE) is an intensive supervision program that aims to reduce crime and drug use while saving taxpayers' dollars spent on jail and prison costs. HOPE deals with offenders who have been identified as likely to violate the conditions of their probation or community supervision.

The North Carolina Structured Sentencing Act was adopted and implemented in order to give the judge a specific set of standards to follow when sentencing a person. There was a need to change the way that criminals were sentenced in order to lower the prison population, and ensure that the people that were spending time in prison were there for necessary reasons, and that they were serving an adequate amount of time based on their criminal history, and their current level of crime. The structured sentencing act put fair and clear cut guidelines for a judge to follow, while ensuring the publics interest was still being looked after.

Forcht-Wade Correctional Center was a state prison facility in unincorporated Caddo Parish, Louisiana. The prison, operated by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections, was located in the Eddie D. Jones Nature Park in Keithville. The prison also controlled the Dr. Martin Forcht Jr. Clinical Treatment Unit, a facility located near Spring Ridge.

The Bradshaw State Jail is a privately owned medium-security prison for men located in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas, owned and operated by Management and Training Corporation under contract with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. and it has an official capacity of 1980 inmates.

The North Slave Correctional Complex is a prison in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada and the largest correctional facility in the territory. It consists of an adult male unit and a youth unit, and it houses inmates with security ratings from minimum to maximum security, as well as those awaiting trial. Since the closure of the Arctic Tern Young Offender Facility in 2011, the youth unit holds both male and female young offenders.
