The name of the band is an old German idiom which can be translated as "dark work" or "dark factory". The producer behind Dunkelwerk has decided to work under the pseudonym "losttrooper", being restrained to offer pictures of himself.

He is signed to Danse Macabre Records and Aural Music Group. After a successful audio experimentation with Digitech products, he currently is an official endorser artist. He worldwide released four full-length albums including "30-hole and Fred Perry" which reached the TOP-10 spot on the DAC - Deutsche Alternative Charts. He also played in major international festivals and clubs such as WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN, SLIMELIGHT UK and DARK MUNICH FESTIVAL. Musically involved in notable productions and unconventional collaborations, he worked with top-artists, producers and engineers such as Ted Jensen, Danny Saber, Matthew Setzer, Bruno Kramm, Madaski, Fabri Fibra and many others. Lammendam is the debut full-length studio album by the Dutch symphonic black metal band Carach Angren. Released in 2008, it is a concept album about Lammendam, the remains of a castle that are haunted by a "ghost lady in a white dress". Dennis "Seregor" Droomers claims that he was inspired to write the album by a local legend that he has been familiar with since childhood. The legend centers around series of events that supposedly occurred in Schinveldse Bossen, a forest area northeast of the Dutch region of South Limburg and of the town of Schinveld, near the German border.

Bassist Wolfgang Rothbauer left Edenbridge in 2016, so Lanvall performed the bass in the recording of this album.
