Edward "Eddy" Dominic Berumen (born May 19, 2001) is an American soccer player.
Berumen played a single year of high school soccer at Modesto High School, spending most his youth career playing club. He had a five-year spell at NorCal Premier side Ajax United, [1] following a two-year stint with Lobos FC, before joining the Sacramento Republic in 2016. [2] In 2019, he signed a USL Academy contract with Sacramento, allowing him to play for the first team, but retain his college eligibility. [3] [4]
In 2019, Berumen attended the University of California, Irvine to play college soccer. He went on to make 35 appearances over four seasons with the club, scoring a single goal and adding three assists. He was named Big West All-Freshman Team in his first season with the Anteaters. [2]
Berumen was eligible for selection in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, but went undrafted. [5]
On March 8, 2024, Berumen signed his first professional contract, joining USL Championship side Las Vegas Lights. [6] On June 23, 2024, Berumen moved to MLS Next Pro side Los Angeles FC 2. He signed a short-term deal with the club's first team roster on July 7, 2024. [7]
