Eddy Terrace (1935 - 2013) was a Belgian basketball player, who spent most of his career with Royale Union Saint Gilloise. One of the best Belgian players of his generation, he led all scorers at EuroBasket 1957, averaging 24.4 points a game on Belgium's way to a 12th position. His 63 points outburst against Albania in the same tournament is an all-time EuroBasket record.

Dino Meneghin is an Italian former professional basketball player. He is widely considered to be the best Italian player ever, as well as one of Europe's all-time greats. A 2.06 m tall center, Meneghin was born in Alano di Piave, Veneto. On November 20, 1966, when he was 16 years old, he played in his first game in the Italian League, with Ignis Varese. He played the last game of his career at the age of 45. In 2003, Meneghin was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and in 2010, he became a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Jiří Welsch is a Czech former professional basketball player for BK Pardubice of the Czech Republic National Basketball League. He has also represented the senior Czech Republic national basketball team. Welsch has played in the National Basketball Association in the United States, having been drafted in 2002 by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Nikolaos Galis, commonly known as either Nikos Galis, or Nick Galis, is a retired Greek professional basketball player. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991, is an inaugural member of the FIBA Hall of Fame and was chosen as one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors in 2008. Galis is widely regarded as one of Europe's greatest scorers to ever play the game, as well as one of the all-time greatest players in FIBA international basketball history. In 2017, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Theódoros Papaloukás, commonly also known as "Theo Papaloukas" or "Thodoris Papaloukas", is a retired Greek professional basketball player. He was a four-time All-EuroLeague selection, a member of the EuroLeague 2000–10 All-Decade Team and was named one of the 50 greatest EuroLeague contributors in 2008. A revolutionary figure in basketball, as illustrated by his unique ability to come off the bench and alter the course of an encounter, and his uncanny feel for the game, he symbolized the rise of European basketball in the new millennium.

Jon Robert "J.R." Holden is a retired American-Russian professional basketball player, currently serving as an NBA Director of Player Personnel(sport) for the Brooklyn Nets. Holden was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At 1.85 m (6'1") tall, he could play at both the point guard and shooting guard positions, but he primarily played at point guard.
Jorge Garbajosa Chaparro Jr., is a Spanish former professional basketball player and the current president of the Spanish Basketball Federation. Standing at 2.07 m, he played both power forward and small forward. He was an All-EuroLeague first team selection in 2003, and an All-EuroLeague second team selection in 2006, while playing for Unicaja. During his stint in the NBA, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2007. A serious injury the following season cut his NBA career short, and he never truly recovered until his retirement.

His son, Jiri Zidek Jr., won the EuroLeague title with Žalgiris, in 1999. They are to this day, the only father and son to have reached a EuroLeague title game as players.
