Edgar Stakset (born 30 April 1937) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a midfielder for Steinkjer FK. [1] He made 26 appearances for the Norway national team from 1960 to 1967. [2] [3]
Stakset was the player-manager of Steinkjer in 1968. [4] In 1972 he joined Beitstad as player-manager, and renewed his contract for another year. [5] He went back to Steinkjer in 1974, [6] being announced as their new youth coach after the 1974 season. [7] At the same time, he would be player-manager for the fifth-tier team Stod IL. [8] In 1977 he went on to manage Verdal IL. [9] He also played during his first year. [10] In 1979 he moved to Levanger club IL Sverre, [11] and in 1982 IL Henning in rural Steinkjer. [12]
Steinkjer is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Innherad region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Steinkjer which is located on the inner part of the Trondheimsfjord. The town is also the administrative centre for Trøndelag county. Stod is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway. The 275-square-kilometre (106 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1964. It originally encompassed the northern part of what is now the municipality of Steinkjer, stretching from the town of Steinkjer to the northeast, along the lake Snåsavatnet, to the municipal border with Snåsa. Over time, however, the municipality was reduced in size to just a fraction of its original size, leaving just the area between the Snåsavatnet in the north to the Ogndalen valley in the south. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Binde. The main church for Stod was For Church, located just south of the administrative center. The local sports team is Stod IL.
The Hell–Sunnan Line is a 105-kilometer-long (65 mi) railway line between Hell, Stjørdal and Sunnan, Steinkjer in Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. The name is no longer in official use and the line is now considered part of the Nordland Line. The Hell–Sunnan Line branches from the Meråker Line at Hell and runs on the east shore of the Trondheimsfjord passing through the municipalities of Stjørdal, Levanger, Verdal, Inderøy and Steinkjer.
