Ediciones Destino is a Spanish publishing house, founded by the editors of the weekly Destino in the 1942. [1]
Destino's catalogue includes the most emblematic Spanish authors of the post-war period such as Miguel Delibes, Camilo José Cela, Carmen Martín Gaite, Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio, Ana María Matute, Carmen Laforet, etc. and great foreign authors such as George Orwell, Bohumil Hrabal or Naguib Mahfuz. Recently it has been publishing authors such as Andrés Trapiello, Antonio Soler, Pedro Zarraluki or Eduardo Lago. [2]
In Catalan, the highly illustrated "Image of Catalonia" collection, often by photographers as Francesc Català Roca, had a strong impact and collected important Catalan subjects by leading authors.
The publishing house awards two prizes a year for unpublished works, the Nadal Prize, founded in 1944 (the oldest award in Spanish literature), and the Josep Pla Prize, founded in 1968, for unpublished works in Catalan. [1] [3]

Destino Infantil & Juvenil is a children's publishing label of Destino Publishing House, who publish books for young people since 2002. Under this label are published illustrated albums and children's and youth fiction, in Spanish and Catalan. Some of the bestsellers are The Lord of Thieves, by acclaimed German writer Cornelia Funke, the Chronicles of Narnia series, by C. S. Lewis, and books by Geronimo Stilton, among others.
In 1981, it established the Apel·les Mestres Award, that rewards illustrated international children's and youth literature. [1]

She received the Premio Nadal in 1944.
Premio Nadal is a Spanish literary prize awarded annually by the publishing house Ediciones Destino, part of Planeta. It has been awarded every year on 6 January since 1944. The Josep Pla Award for Catalan literature is given at the same ceremony.
Ana María Matute Ausejo was an internationally acclaimed Spanish writer and member of the Real Academia Española. In 1959, she received the Premio Nadal for Primera memoria. The third woman to receive the Cervantes Prize for her literary oeuvre, she is considered one of the foremost novelists of the posguerra, the period immediately following the Spanish Civil War.

Ediciones Ekare is a Venezuelan based children's book Publisher. Ekaré began in 1978 in Caracas, Venezuela and its initial goal was to publish books which reflected the Venezuelan and Latin American culture and landscape. Mario Escudero, was one of a handful of Spanish flamenco guitar virtuosos who, following on the footsteps of Ramon Montoya, helped spread flamenco beyond their Spanish homeland when they migrated to the United States in the early 1950s. Along with others such as his Sabicas, Carlos Montoya and Juan Serrano, Escudero helped forge the viability of solo flamenco guitar as a concert instrument, with lauded performances at New York's Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, and other venues. Invited to perform at the White House for President John F. Kennedy, Escudero was counted among the best in his era; Ramón Montoya called him "the best flamenco guitarist of this new generation."

Sebastià Juan Arbó was a Spanish novelist and playwright. He wrote in Catalan and Spanish. He was born in Sant Carles de la Ràpita on 28 October 1902 and died in Barcelona on 2 January 1984. His work includes novels, drama, biographies and translations. He was an honorary member of the Association of Writers in the Catalan Language. In 1948 he won the Premio Nadal.
José Ángel Mañas is a Spanish writer. Mañas is often included as a member of the generation of neorealist Spanish writers from the 1990s, along with Juan Gracia, Gabriela Bustelo, Ray Loriga and Lucía Etxebarria. His books have been translated into several languages.
