Edmundo Chirinos (12 August 1935 [1] -24 August 2013) was a Venezuelan psychiatrist, academic, politician and criminal, presidential candidate in 1988 and rector of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). In the last years of his life he was sentenced for the murder of the social communication student Roxana Vargas, who was his patient. [2]

Edmundo Benavides is a Venezuelan singer and songwriter. He began his artistic career in 2006 under the name Edmundo, and later changed his name to Benavides in 2011. In 2012, he was named the fourth most played artist of the year in Venezuela and in 2013 he became the seventh most played artist in the country. In 2013 he began his international career with his single (music) Mi Ex. He was also nominated for the Lo Nuestro Award as Best New Artist (tropical) of the year.

Edmundo Rada Angulo, also known as Pipo, was a Venezuelan politician who served as councilman for the Popular Will party for Petare, in the Sucre Municipality of Caracas. Rada went missing on 16 October 2019 and was found dead the following day on the side of the road out of Petare, Caracas, burned and with two coup de grâce shots in the back of his neck.

However, the first record of a patient claiming to have symptoms of coronavirus disease dates back to 29 February 2020, with government officials suspecting that the first person carrying the virus could have entered the country as early as 25 February.
