Sir Edward Richard George Heath was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1970 to 1974 and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1965 to 1975. Heath also served for 51 years as a Member of Parliament from 1950 to 2001. Outside of politics,Heath was a yachtsman,a musician,and an author.

Baron Montagu of Beaulieu,in the County of Hampshire,is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The 3rd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu was one of the ninety elected hereditary peers that remain in the House of Lords after the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999,and sat on the Conservative benches. As descendants of the 5th Duke of Buccleuch,the Barons Montagu of Beaulieu are also in remainder to this peerage and its subsidiary titles.
Frederick Walter Scott Craig was a Scottish psephologist and compiler of the standard reference books covering United Kingdom Parliamentary election results. He originally worked in public relations,compiling election results in his spare time which were published by the Scottish Unionist Party. He then sat as an Independent and Liberal Democrat until 2014. In the 2014 election he lost his seat as an MEP.
The Macleod Group was a short-lived pressure group and dining club associated with the 'left-wing' of Conservative Party that existed in 1975 before amalgamation with others to form the Tory Reform Group.
