Eight Rounds Rapid are a British four-piece punk/blues band from Southend, Essex, England. The band was formed in 2010 [1] by drummer Lee Watkins and vocalist David Alexander (David Burke), with guitarist Simon Johnson; they were joined in 2012 by bassist Jules Cooper. The band released their first video Stalker in 2011, followed by Channel Swimmer in 2012 and Talent in 2013, the same year as their debut 7" single Writeabout/Steve, released on Podrophenia Records. [2] All appeared on their well-received debut album Lossleader, [3] [4] [5] issued in 2014 by Cadiz Music, bringing the group comparisons to Alternative TV and Wire as well as various pub rock bands. The band gained radio support from Tom Robinson, Gary Crowley, and Mark Radcliffe and further positive reviews including ones from Uncut , Mojo , and Classic Rock . [7]
Eight Rounds Rapid toured supporting Wilko Johnson in 2013 [8] [9] and again in 2015.
Their second album Object D’Art was released in 2017, [10] [11] previewed by a new video for "I Like It" starring Ewen MacIntosh. [12]
The band's third studio album was released in August 2020 on Hamburg label Tapete Records, to further critical acclaim. Narc magazine called it "Witty, caustic, clever, so catchy.. a bittersweet love letter from an outpost in the pandemic provinces." [13]
Dr. Feelgood are an English pub rock band formed in 1971. Hailing from Canvey Island, Essex, the group are best known for early singles such as "She Does It Right", "Roxette", "Back in the Night" and "Milk and Alcohol". The group's original distinctively British R&B sound was centred on Wilko Johnson's choppy guitar style. Along with Johnson, the original band line-up included singer Lee Brilleaux and the rhythm section of John B. Sparks, known as "Sparko", on bass guitar and John Martin, known as "The Big Figure", on drums. Although their most commercially productive years were the early to mid-1970s, and in spite of Brilleaux's death in 1994 of lymphoma, a version of the band continues to tour and record.
Help! is the fifth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles and the soundtrack to their film of the same name. It was released on 6 August 1965. Seven of the fourteen songs, including the singles "Help!" and "Ticket to Ride", appeared in the film and take up the first side of the vinyl album. The second side includes "Yesterday", the most-covered song ever written. The album was met with favourable critical reviews and topped the Australian, German, UK and US charts.
John Andrew Wilkinson, better known by the stage name Wilko Johnson, was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter and occasional actor. He was a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson was known for his distinctive guitar playing style which he achieved by not using a guitar pick but playing fingerstyle. This enabled him to play rhythm guitar and riffs or solos at the same time creating a highly percussive guitar sound.

Steve J. Morse is an American guitarist, best known as the founder of the Dixie Dregs and as the guitarist for Deep Purple from 1994 to 2022. Morse has also enjoyed a successful solo career and was briefly a member of the group Kansas in the mid-1980s. Most recently, Morse became a member of the supergroup Flying Colors.

Dylan Lee Howe is an English drummer, bandleader, session musician and composer. The son of guitarist Steve Howe with whom he has sometimes collaborated, Dylan is also noted for his work with rock band the Blockheads, in addition to his own work as a jazz bandleader and prolific session work with a variety of musicians. He was also the brother of musician Virgil Howe.

Yanqui U.X.O. is the third studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, released on November 4, 2002 by Constellation. It was recorded by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago in late 2001, and was the band's first album released after their slight name change. Lacking both their characteristic interwoven field recordings and specifically named movements, the album was instead described by the band as "just raw, angry, dissonant, epic instrumental rock". When Slade Rocked the World 1971-1975 is a compilation box set by the British rock band Slade, released by Salvo in November 2015. The box set, housed in a 12-inch box, covers the band's commercial heyday from 1971 to 1975, with a mix of reproduced vinyl LPs, 7" vinyl singles, a two-disc CD, a scrapbook-style book and a reproduced edition of the book The Slade Story, written by George Tremlett.
