Eilis Kirwan is an Irish film director and screenwriter who was nominated for the Genie Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 2010 film The Whistleblower along with Larysa Kondracki. Born in Dublin, in 1972, Kirwan also won an Ardmore Studios Award at the 2004 Kerry Film Festival and won the 2004 Galway Film Fleadh Short Film Award for Best First Short both for 2004's Nostradamus and Me . She studied English and History at University College Dublin then co-founded Doubletake Theatre Company where she wrote and produced original plays. [1]

Brooklyn is a 2015 romantic period drama film directed by John Crowley and written by Nick Hornby, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Colm Tóibín. It is a co-production between the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada. The film stars Saoirse Ronan in the lead role, with Emory Cohen, Domhnall Gleeson, Jim Broadbent, and Julie Walters in supporting roles. Set in 1951, the plot follows Eilis Lacey, a young Irishwoman who emigrates to Brooklyn to find employment. There she marries an Italian plumber called Tony, before being forced to choose between her home town of Enniscorthy or her new life in Brooklyn. Filming began in April 2014 in Ireland where it lasted three weeks, until production was moved to Montreal, Quebec for a further four weeks. Additional filming took place in Coney Island.

Jordanne Jones is an Irish actress. She began her career as a child actress, earning a Dublin Film Critics' Circle Award as well as an IFTA nomination for her debut film role in Frank Berry's I Used to Live Here.

Eili Harboe is a Norwegian actress. She was born in Stavanger. She starred in Joachim Trier's 2017 film Thelma. Thelma and Harboe's performance received good reviews in the Norwegian press.

Dublin Oldschool is a 2014 Irish play written by Irish actor Emmet Kirwan and a 2018 movie starring Kirwan, Ian Lloyd Anderson, Seana Kerslake and Sarah Greene based on the play. The film was directed by Dave Tynan.
