Elaine Hudson is an Australian actress and director. For her performance in Joh's Jury [1] she was nominated for the 1993 AFI Award For Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama. Other screen roles include playing Lindy Chamberlain in The Disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain . [2] Her lengthy stage career [3] includes directing and playing the title character The Lady From Dubuque (Belvoir Street Theatre, 1996) [4] [5] and playing the lead in Burnt Piano (Belvoir Street Theatre, 1999). Azaria Chantel Loren Chamberlain was a nine-week-old Australian baby girl who was killed by a dingo on the night of 17 August 1980 during a family camping trip to Uluru in the Northern Territory. Her body was never found. Her parents, Lindy and Michael Chamberlain, reported that she had been taken from their tent by a dingo. However, Lindy was tried for murder and spent more than three years in prison. Michael received a suspended sentence. Lindy was released only after Azaria's jacket was found near a dingo lair and new inquests were opened. In 2012, 32 years after Azaria's death, the Chamberlains' version of events was officially supported by a coroner.

After graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Kiefel started his screen acting career with a role in the 1977 feature film The Singer and the Dancer. He followed this with roles in Breaker Morant (1980), Twelfth Night (1986), Call Me Mr. Brown (1990) and television film The Leaving of Liverpool (1992).
