Sila María Calderón Serra is a Puerto Rican politician, businesswoman, and philanthropist who was the governor of Puerto Rico from 2001 to 2005. She is the first woman elected to that office. Prior to her term as governor, Calderón held various positions in the government of Puerto Rico, including the 12th Secretary of State of Puerto Rico from 1988 to 1989, and Chief of Staff to Governor Rafael Hernández Colón. She was also mayor of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, from 1997 to 2001.

Juan de Garay (1528–1583) was a Spanish conquistador. Garay's birthplace is disputed. Some say it was in the city of Junta de Villalba de Losa in Castile, while others argue he was born in the area of Orduña. There's no birth certification whatsoever, though Juan De Garay regarded himself as somebody from Biscay. He served under the Crown of Castille, in the Viceroyalty of Peru. He was governor of Asunción and founded a number of cities in present-day Argentina, many near the Paraná River area, including the second foundation of Buenos Aires, in 1580.
Jean Carlos Jiménez Centeno is a Colombian-Venezuelan singer and composer of vallenato, bolero and salsa. Centeno gained fame as singer and composer for the vallenato group Binomio de Oro de America. On December 31, 2005 Centeno left the Binomio de Oro to pursue his own vallenato group along accordionist Juan Fernando "Morre" Romero. In 2006 Centeno and Romero released the album Ave Libre.

Juan (Francisco) de Céspedes Ruiz was a Spanish conquistador who is known as the founder of the town of Pasca, Cundinamarca, in the south of the Bogotá savanna, Colombia. De Céspedes arrived in the Americas in 1521 and participated in the conquest of the Tairona and the foundation of Santa Marta under Rodrigo de Bastidas. From 1542 to 1543 and in 1546 he served as mayor of Bogotá and after that until 1570 as lieutenant general of the first president of Colombia. Juan de Céspedes married Isabel Romero, one of the first Spanish women who arrived at Colombian territories and had two legitimate sons and one daughter. His date of death is uncertain; in late 1573 or 1576.
The Fundación Juan March is a foundation established in 1955 by Juan March, who was Spain's richest man. The foundation produces exhibitions as well as concert and lecture series. Its headquarters in Madrid houses a library devoted to contemporary Spanish music and theater. It owns and operates the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español, in Cuenca, and the Museu Fundación Juan March, in Palma. Miriam Marcela Revollo Quiroga is a Bolivian academic, politician, and sociologist who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from La Paz, representing circumscription 10 from 2010 to 2015. Though Revollo's political career is closely linked to that of her husband, longtime La Paz Mayor Juan del Granado, her political origins are independent of marriage. A graduate of the higher universities of San Simón and San Andrés, Revollo entered political life as an activist in the student movement and was a steadfast advocate for the inclusion of women in the country's democratic process. Together with her husband, she founded the Fearless Movement, with which she was elected as a party-list member of the Constituent Assembly from La Paz from 2006 to 2007. As a parliamentarian, she continued to work toward the advancement of women's causes, largely supporting the social policies enacted by the ruling Movement for Socialism, even as she simultaneously criticized many of the administration's illiberal practices.

Roberto Rojas Herrera was a Bolivian accountant, politician, and trade unionist who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from La Paz, representing circumscription 15 from 2010 to 2015. A member of the Movement for Socialism, Rojas entered political activity as a member of El Alto's neighborhood councils, serving as secretary of sports for the city's San Pablo Zone before presiding over the District 3 council from 2000 to 2009. One rung above, he served as secretary of organization of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils from 2008 to 2010. The organization's alliance with the Movement for Socialism facilitated Rojas' entry into the Chamber of Deputies. Following his tenure in the legislature, he returned to El Alto, briefly serving as regional manager of the state-owned water and sanitation company before finally retiring from public life.
