Elia Kaulifewangali Irimali is a Namibian politician from SWAPO and has been governor of the Oshana region since 2019. [1] Until his appointment as governor, Irimari was the regional councilor for Ondangwa Urban Constituency. Irimari became a councillor in 2015 and has been serving in the management committee of the Oshana Regional Council since his appointment. [2]
Irimali previously worked as school history teacher.
While working as a school teacher, he played an active member of the Namibia National Students Organization. As governor, Irimari is primarily committed to youth work. He is also an advocate for communities to harvest water so that it can be used during dry seasons, both by human and livestock. [3]
Politics of Namibia takes place in a framework of a semi-presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Namibia is both head of state and head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by both the president and the government. Legislative power is vested in the two chambers of Parliament. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
Oshana is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia, its capital is Oshakati. The towns of Oshakati, Ongwediva and Ondangwa, all situated with this region, form an urban cluster with the second largest population concentration in Namibia after the capital Windhoek. As of 2020, Oshana had 113,112 registered voters.
Elections in Namibia determine who holds public political offices in the country. Namibia is a semi-presidential representative democratic republic. It runs direct elections every five years for the position of the president and seats in the National Assembly, and every six years for the Regional Councils and the distribution of seats in local authorities. The National Council is elected indirectly by the constituency councillors of Namibia's 14 regions.
Hage Gottfried Geingob was a Namibian politician who served as the third president of Namibia from 2015 until his death in February 2024. Geingob was the first Prime Minister of Namibia from 1990 to 2002, and served as prime minister again from 2012 to 2015. Between 2008 and 2012 Geingob served as Minister of Trade and Industry. In November 2014, Geingob was elected president of Namibia by an overwhelming margin. In November 2017, Geingob became the third president of the ruling SWAPO Party after winning by a large margin at the party's sixth Congress. He served as the party's president until his death. In August 2018, Geingob began a one-year term as chairperson of the Southern African Development Community.
Pendukeni "Penny" Iivula-Ithana is a Namibian politician who served as the secretary general of SWAPO, Namibia's ruling party, from 2007 to 2012. She was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Namibia in 1989 and has been a member of Parliament and member of cabinet since independence in 1990.

Clemens Handuukeme Kashuupulwa is a Namibian politician. He is the governor of Oshana Region since 1998. He was re-appointed in 2010 by president Hifikepunye Pohamba and again reappointed by president Hage Geingob in April 2015 following the 2014 election. Since 1997 Kashuupulwa is a member of the Central Committee of SWAPO.
Ondangwa Urban is an electoral constituency in the Oshana Region of Namibia. It was created in August 2013, following a recommendation of the Fourth Delimitation Commission of Namibia, and in preparation of the 2014 general election. It had 23,233 inhabitants in 2016 and 17,967 registered voters in 2020. The constituency office is situated in Ondangwa.
Robert Naanda Kahimise is a Namibian businessperson and CEO of the City of Windhoek. He was appointed to the position in 2016. Previously, he served as executive officer of the Erongo Regional Electricity Distributor where he has served since July 2013.

She currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy. and became the first woman Deputy Minister at the Ministry. Shilunga has a satisfactory employment history. The assiduous Deputy Minister worked in various positions as a teacher and a registered nurse.
Ester-Anna-Liisa Shiwomwenyo Nghipondoka is a Namibian politician and member of SWAPO. She was appointed the Minister of Education, Arts and Culture in March 2020 after having worked as deputy minister with the same portfolio since 2015. In 2021 under her ministry they have implemented a new education curriculum called Advanced Subsidiary (AS). She further stated in 2022 that "the new curriculum is not bad". Nghipondoka also encouraged the teachers to embrace the new curriculum despite the challenges it has.

Natalia ǀGoagoses is a Namibian politician who has been a member of the National Assembly for SWAPO since 2020. Since 2023, she has served as Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation. She was also the deputy minister in the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development from April 2021 to September 2023.
Rev. Heikki Hausiku Ausiku (1944) is a Namibian politician who served as the Ambassador to Cuba (1991–1999). He is a member of South West Africa People's Organisation (SWAPO) party and was a member of the National Assembly of Namibia from 1989 to 1990. He was the former mayor of Nkurenkuru. He also served as a traditional councilor at Kwangali Traditional Authority in 2010. He was appointed as the special advisor to Sirkka Ausiku in 2014.
