Zanka Contact is a 2020 Moroccan film directed by Ismael El Iraki. Described as a Wild at Heart-type love story with debts to Quentin Tarantino and Sergio Leone, the film was inspired by El Iraki's emotional journey and recovery after he found himself in the midst of the horrors of the 2015 Bataclan attacks in Paris. Trees of Peace is a 2022 film written and directed by Alanna Brown in her directorial debut. It is starring Eliane Umuhire, Charmaine Bingwa, Bola Koleosho and Ella Cannon as four women who hide in a hole underneath a house for 81 days to survive the 1994 Rwandan genocide. It has a 98 minute runtime and is an English language film.

Kinsagani Diary is a post-genocide documentary film about the lives of Hutus who fled to Zaire till they were discovered along a railway line by the United Nations. The documentary gives account of their hardship, rescue and how they were eventually massacred.
