Elissa Mielke is a Canadian singer/songwriter [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] , [8] actress, and commercial/fashion model. [9] [10] [11] from rural Dundas, Ontario, Canada [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] . Mielke lived in Japan and has modeled for companies like Patagonia [18] and is known for starring in The Weeknd's "The Zone" music video featuring Canadian rapper Drake. [19] She acted in Lion Attack's short film Mobius, [20] which was chosen for the Critics' Week section [21] at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. [20] [22] Elissa released her first EP [23] in 2015 [24] under the pseudonym "Mieke." [25] [26] In 2021, [27] Mielke released [28] her second EP, "Finally" on Mom+Pop/Slashie labels [29] [30] [31] under her full name [32] [33] [34] . Afrique Victime is the sixth album by Tuareg musician Mdou Moctar. The album is sung almost entirely in Tamasheq, though parts are in French.
