Elizabeth Goreham is a U.S. politician and former mayor of State College,Pennsylvania, [1] most recently reelected in 2014 for a second term. She is the first female mayor of the borough since taking office in 2010,before which she was a member of the borough council.
State College Magazine states that she and her husband had moved to State College in 1993. [2]
Some of the major issues she has handled during her tenure include the Penn State tuition tax, [3] the Penn State child sex abuse scandal [4]
In the 2013 election results,Goreham won the race with 1,634 votes in the 19 State College precincts to Republican Ron Madrid’s 1,019 votes. [5] [6]
With regard to same sex marriage,Goreham said that she has no problem providing the law allows it. [7]
Elizabethtown is a borough in Lancaster County,Pennsylvania,United States. It is 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Harrisburg,the state capital. Prior to becoming a state senator,Beavers was a state representative in the 99th through the 102nd General Assemblies. She was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Tennessee in the 2018 Tennessee gubernatorial election.

Gloria Negrete McLeod is an American politician who was the United States representative for California's 35th congressional district from 2013 to 2015. The district included portions of eastern Los Angeles County and western San Bernardino County. She was a California state senator,representing the 32nd district,from December 2006 until her election to Congress. Prior to that,she served in the California State Assembly from 2000 to 2006,after having lost in a 1998 bid for the Assembly. A resident of Chino,she defeated Joe Baca,Jr.,in the Democratic primary for the Senate seat. She defeated Joe Baca,Sr.,in her 2012 election to Congress. In February 2014,she announced her intention not to stand at the following elections,and instead to run for the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. Negrete McLeod lost the November election to Republican state Assemblyman Curt Hagman.

As president of the Hoboken City Council,she became acting mayor after incumbent Peter Cammarano's resignation on July 31,2009 following his arrest on corruption charges. Zimmer is the first female mayor of Hoboken. She was first elected mayor in a special election for the balance of Cammarano's term on November 6,2009 and was re-elected mayor for another four-year term in November 2013.
