The UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships are the world championships for cyclo-cross organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Starting in 2022, seven events are organized each year – men's elite, women's elite, men's under 23, women's under 23, men's under 18, women's under 18 and a Mixed team relay event. The Cauberg Cyclo-cross is a cyclo-cross race held in Valkenburg, Netherlands. This race is up and around the famous Cauberg, which is the final of the Amstel Gold Race. Former World Champion Adrie van der Poel designed the parcours and its variations. Since the 2013-2014 season it became a part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. In October 2017 there was no edition held, because the Cyclo-cross World Championships is on the same parcours in February 2018.

Ellen Rose Noble is a retired American professional racing cyclist, who last rode for Trek Factory Racing in cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing. In 2019, Noble was named as part of UCI Women's Team Trek–Segafredo for the women's road cycling season.
Mie Bjørndal Ottestad is a Norwegian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Uno-X Mobility. In August 2020, she won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships. Ottestad took her first professional road victory in the 2024 Tour de Normandie Féminin in a breakway on the final and fourth stage, besting Ellen van Dijk who had led the race until the final stage.
