The World Figure Skating Championships, commonly referred to as "Worlds", are an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Generally held in March, the World Championships are considered the most prestigious of the ISU Figure Skating Championships. With the exception of the Olympic title, a world title is considered to be the highest competitive achievement in figure skating.

On January 22, 2016, he was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

The World Junior Figure Skating Championships, commonly referred to as "World Juniors" or "Junior Worlds", is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters within a designated age range compete for the title of World Junior champion. The ISU guidelines for junior eligibility have varied throughout the years – currently, skaters must be at least 13 years old but not yet 19 before the previous 1 July, except for men competing in pair skating and ice dancing where the age maximum is 21.
Parker Blair Pennington is an American figure skater. He won silver medals at the 2006 Nebelhorn Trophy and 2007 Finlandia Trophy, three gold medals on the JGP series, and bronze at the 2002 JGP Final. Pennington won U.S. national titles on four levels—junior (2001), novice (1998), intermediate (1996), and juvenile (1995).
Stephen Carriere is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2007 World Junior champion, 2006 JGP Final champion, and 2008 U.S. national bronze medalist. During his career, he has won two Grand Prix medals, one Challenger Series medal, and four other senior international medals.
Todd Gilles is an American former ice dancer. With Trina Pratt, he won four ISU Junior Grand Prix medals and the 2005 U.S. national junior title, and placed sixth at the 2006 World Junior Championships. With Jane Summersett, he is the 2008 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist. He also skated with Emily Samuelson for one season.
Maria Vladimirovna Mukhortova is a Russian pair skater. With former partner Maxim Trankov, she is the 2008 European silver medalist, a five-time Grand Prix medalist, 2005 World Junior champion, 2004 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and 2007 Russian national champion. In her early career, she competed with Egor Golovkin and Pavel Lebedev. She also competed one season with Jérôme Blanchard.
Attila Elek is a Hungarian ice dancer. With former partner Nóra Hoffmann, he is a two-time (2003–2004) World Junior silver medalist, the 2003 JGP Final champion, and a five-time (2003–2007) Hungarian national champion. They placed 17th at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino.

The 2005–06 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the ninth season of the ISU Junior Grand Prix, a series of international junior level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the Grand Prix of Figure Skating, which was for senior-level skaters. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The top skaters from the series met at the Junior Grand Prix Final.
The ISU Junior Grand Prix Final or JGP Final is the culmination of a series of junior-level competitions – the ISU Junior Grand Prix organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event. At the end of the series, the six highest-placing skaters from each discipline advance to the JGP Final.
Elliot Hilton is a British former figure skater. He is the 2008 British national champion. He qualified for the free skate at two ISU Championships – 2005 Junior Worlds in Kitchener, Ontario, where he finished 16th, and 2009 Europeans in Helsinki, where he finished 24th. He was coached by Yuri Bureiko.
The ISU Junior Grand Prix in the Czech Republic is an international figure skating competition. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union, it is periodically held in the autumn as part of the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
Sasha Fear is a British ice dancer. With her former skating partner, George Waddell, she is the 2020 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist and the 2020 CS Budapest Trophy bronze medalist. On the junior level, she is a two-time British junior national champion and has competed in the final segment at the 2019 World Junior Championships.
