Elm Park Golf & Sports Club operates an 18-hole golf course and tennis club located at Nutley Lane, Donnybrook, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The golf club was established in 1924 with the purchase of Elm Park House and its surrounding lands. It opened the following year as a 9-hole golf club with an initial membership of 254 and, in 1926, extended its facilities with the opening of tennis courts. [1]
In 1933, the club sold property to the Religious Sisters of Charity as a site for St. Vincent's Hospital. In 1936, Nutley House and land was leased from the Religious Sisters of Charity and a 9-hole golf course and tennis courts were opened. [1]
In 1941, a short-term lease on Elm Park land was made from the Religious Sisters of Charity, as the hospital project had been postponed. This allowed the course to be expanded to 18 holes. However, in 1956, the Elm Park land had to be returned and the club was reduced to the earlier 9-hole course. [1]
The club expanded again in 1960 with the purchase of the nearby Bloomfield property, allowing it to extend the course to 18 holes once again. Then, in 1976, the clubhouse was extended to include a dining room, function room, locker rooms, office, and shop. The final expansion of lands took place in 1994 with the purchase of lands adjoining the 11th and 12th holes. [1]
A redesign of the greens took place in 2002 by the Golf Course Architect Patrick Merrigan, with a design that puts a priority on drive placement and second shot value. This also included strategically locating bunkers around the course. [1]
The club has an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, 7 grass tennis courts, 5 all-weather tennis courts, and 2 covered tennis courts.
The Elm Park Stream runs through the golf course, and is used to form water features / hazards.

Fulwell Golf Course, operated by Fulwell Golf Club, is a 241 acres (98 ha) golf course and centre comprising an 18-hole course located in Fulwell in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, west London. It is adjacent to the 9 hole Twickenham Golf Course, currently operated by a David Lloyd Club., which was separated from the original Fulwell Golf Course in the 1950s. Both courses are located on Metropolitan Open Land owned by, and leased from, the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.
Abergele Golf Club is a golf club located in Abergele, Conwy, Clwyd, Wales. The 18-hole course was formed in 1910 and established itself at its present location in 1968 near Gwrych Castle and is a member of the Community amateur sports club. It was redesigned between 2002 and 2003 to meet United States Golf Association standards allowing its members and visitors to play on the course all-year round. Abergele Golf Club is regarded by many golf publications to be "one of the most picturesque courses in Wales". The property is owned by The Orange Golf Club Ltd and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
Arrowe Country Park is a country park in Woodchurch, Wirral, England. The estate upon which the park lies was founded and shaped by John Shaw, a former Mayor of Liverpool who made his wealth from the slave trade. When he died the estate passed to his great nephew John "Ralph" Shaw, who built Arrowe Hall, an Elizabethan-style mansion, and laid out the grounds and gardens. Ralph Shaw was a magistrate who dissuaded people from trespassing on his land with traps including spring-loaded shotguns.
