Elnur Allahverdiyev (born 2 November 1983) is a football defender from Azerbaijan who last played for Neftchi Baku. He is also a member of Azerbaijan national football team.

Career

In 2008, Allahverdiyev scored the only goal in Neftchi Baku's 1–0 win against Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen to advance to the third round of Intertoto Cup 2008, where they faced FC Vaslui from Romania.

Gabala

In September 2013, Allahverdiyev joined Gabala on an initial six-month-long loan from Khazar Lankaran. [1] [2] On 8 January, Allahverdiyev made his move to Gabala, signing a one-year deal. [3]

Neftchi Baku Return

On 11 September 2014, after being frozen out of the Gabala team, Allahverdiyev signed a two-year contract with Neftchi Baku. [4] After just four months with Neftchi, Allahverdiyev was released by the club in January 2015. [5]

The 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twenty first season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 4 August 2012 and finished on 20 May 2013. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season.

The 2013–14 season was Gabala's ninth season as a club and their eighth season in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top flight of Azerbaijani football. They finished the season in their highest ever position, third, and earned qualification to the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the club's history. They also participated in the Azerbaijan Cup, reaching the final for the first time, where they lost to Neftchi Baku on penalties. It was their first, and only, season with manager Yuri Semin, who mutually terminated his contract at the end of the season. Danijel Subotić was the team's top goalscorer for the season with 13, 12 of which came in the Premier League.

The Khazar Lankaran 2013-14 season is Khazar Lankaran's ninth Azerbaijan Premier League season. It is their first full season with John Toshack as manager. They started the season by competing in the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League, reaching the 2nd qualifying round, after defeating Sliema Wanderers, before losing 0-10 on aggregate to Maccabi Haifa. As runners up in the previous season Azerbaijan Cup, Khazar took part in the revamped Azerbaijan Supercup, emerging victorious against Neftchi Baku. They currently taking part in the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Cup and 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League.

The Baku 2013-14 season was Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They competed in the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League, finishing 5th, and reached the Quarterfinals of the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Ravan Baku. It was Milinko Pantićs first season as manager, having replaced Božidar Bandović on 14 June after Bandović left his position at the end of the 2012-13 season.

The Ravan Baku 2013-14 season was Ravan Baku's third, and final, season in the Azerbaijan Premier League, after finishing 10th and being relegated. They also reached the Semifinals of the Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Neftchi Baku. It was to be Ramil Aliyev's first full season as manager, however he resigned on 12 August 2013 following 2 successive defeats and Ravan bottom of the table, Vladislav Kadyrov took over as manager. Kadyrov was himself was replaced on 7 October by Shahin Diniyev, who resigned on 3 January 2014 with Güvenç Kurtar being appointed in his place.

The Neftchi Baku 2014–15 season was Neftchi Baku's 23rd Azerbaijan Premier League season. They started the season under manager Boyukagha Hajiyev, but he was replaced by Arif Asadov in September 2014. Neftchi finished 4th in the Azerbaijan Premier League, runners up in the 2014–15 Azerbaijan Cup, and reached the Play-off round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League.

The Khazar Lankaran 2014-15 season is Khazar Lankaran's tenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They will participate in the Premier League and the Azerbaijan Cup.

The 2015–16 season was Gabala FK's 11th season, and their 10th in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top-flight of Azerbaijani football. The 2016–17 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 25th season of the Azerbaijan Premier League, the Azerbaijani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Qarabağ were the defending champions, having won the previous season. The season began on 6 August 2016 and concluded on 29 April 2017.
