The Embarcadero is the eastern waterfront and roadway of the Port of San Francisco, San Francisco, California, along San Francisco Bay. It was constructed on reclaimed land along a three mile long engineered seawall, from which piers extend into the bay. It derives its name from the Spanish verb embarcar, meaning "to embark"; embarcadero itself means "the place to embark". The Central Embarcadero Piers Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 20, 2002.

The San Francisco Belt Railroad was a short-line railroad along the Embarcadero in San Francisco, California. It began as the State Belt Railroad in 1889, and was renamed when the city bought the Port of San Francisco in 1969. As a state owned enterprise, the railroad asserted several unsuccessful claims to immunity from federal regulation. The railroad ceased operation in 1993.
The Port of San Francisco is a semi-independent organization that oversees the port facilities at San Francisco, California, United States. It is run by a five-member commission, appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Supervisors. Morning, also known as Morning Statue, is an outdoor sculpture by Donal Hord, installed at San Diego's Embarcadero Marina Park North, in the U.S. state of California. The 6-foot, 3-inch black granite statue depicts a muscular young man stretching. It was created between 1951 and 1956, and was kept at Hord's residence until being acquired by the Port of San Diego in 1983.
Campbell Industries or Campbell Machine Company was a shipbuilding company in San Diego, California, most construction was Fishing boats. To support the World War 2 demand for ships Campbell Industries shipyard switched over to military construction and built: US Navy Minesweepers. Campbell Industries was started in 1906 as the Campbell Machine Company as builder and repair yard for tuna seiners. Campbell Machine Company went public in 1960 and was renamed to Campbell Industries. In 1979 the yard was sold again to Marco. In 1982 Marco sold the yard to San Diego Marine Industries, Inc.. San Diego Marine Industries, Inc. later became Southwest Marine in 1985. The shipyard closed in 1991 and was later sold, part of the land became San Diego Convention Center. The shipyard was located at 1206 Marina Park Way, San Diego, in San Diego Bay near Embarcadero Marina Park South in the Port of San Diego.
