Moldova, officially the Republic of Moldova, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. The capital city is Chișinău.

History

Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Moldova have been established on 10 March 1992. The Embassy of Ukraine in Chisinau was opened in 1992. The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev was opened in 1992.

Kiev or Kyiv is the capital and most populous city of Ukraine, located in the north-central part of the country on the Dnieper. The population in July 2015 was 2,887,974, making Kiev the 7th most populous city in Europe.
