Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbres, as well as non-rock styles, with less emphasis on conventional song structures or riffs. Post-rock artists typically combine rock instrumentation with electronics. The genre emerged within the indie and underground music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. However, due to its abandonment of rock conventions, it began to increasingly show little resemblance musically to conventional indie rock at the time, borrowing instead from diverse sources including ambient, electronica, jazz, krautrock, dub, and minimalist classical, with these influences also being pivotal for the style of ambient pop.
Neurosis is an American post-metal band from Oakland, California. It was formed in 1985 by guitarist Scott Kelly, bassist Dave Edwardson, and drummer Jason Roeder, initially as a hardcore punk band. Chad Salter joined as a second guitarist and appeared on the band's 1987 debut Pain of Mind and then Steve Von Till replaced him in 1989. The following year, the lineup further expanded to include a keyboardist and a visual artist. Beginning with their third album Souls at Zero (1992), Neurosis transformed their hardcore sound by incorporating diverse influences including doom metal and industrial music, becoming a major force in the emergence of the post-metal and sludge metal genres.
Spiderland is the second and final studio album by the American rock band Slint. It was released by Touch and Go Records on March 27, 1991. Slint's lineup at the time of recording comprised Brian McMahan on vocals and guitar, David Pajo on guitar, Todd Brashear on bass guitar and Britt Walford on drums. Spiderland was engineered by Brian Paulson and recorded over four days in August 1990. The music and vocal melodies were composed throughout the summer of 1990, while lyrics were written in-studio.
David Pajo is an American musician. He has played a wide variety of music, loosely fitting into several other genres such as hardcore punk, math rock, post-rock, electronica, folk rock and indie pop. Though a multi-instrumentalist, he is best known for his guitar work, most notably with Slint. He is currently a member of Gang of Four.
Tweez is the debut studio album by American rock band Slint and the only studio recording released before their disbandment. It was originally released on the label Jennifer Hartman Records in 1989 as the only record put out by the label, which was run by their friend, Jennifer Hartman. It is the only Slint album to feature bassist Ethan Buckler.

Atypeek Music is an international digital label, which resulted from the association of Go Get Organized (GGO) and Agony. GGO is one of the last French alternative labels. The name of the label Go Get Organized comes from a song by the Redskins; it enhances the commitment of this generation's independent labels. It was founded in 1988 by a group of artists and musicians. The label explored a surprisingly large panel of genres at the time, going through garage rock, hardcore, stoner rock, grunge, noise music, no wave, jazz-core and industrial music. The label soon stands out from other French labels and the alternative music stage by looking for on unusual artists, taking a particular interest in grunge music, American noise rock, experimental and minimalist music such as the work of the very controversial Patrick Dorobisz, Witches Valley, Lucrate Milk, Moodie Black, Dookoom, Genghis Khan, Les Vulves Assassines or Schlaasss. In 1992, the label signs a licensing agreement for Monster Magnet’s first album Spine Of God with Primo Scree. In 1993, the label changes its name and becomes Agony. Agony then became GGO, turning more toward noise rock with bands such as Enablers, Davy Jones Locker, Hint, Condense, Heliogabale or Kill the Thrill before becoming Atypeek Music in 2013. It is also during this year that its previous productions and new artists are shared on digital platforms. Artists released on Atypeek Music: Anarchist Republic Of Bzzz, Barbara Panther, Chloé Delaume, Arne Vinzon, Chris Conde, Ben Sharpa, Anne Horel, Palo Alto, The Rogues, Geins't Naït, Oto... Atypeek Music stays under the artistic direction of Christophe Féray. Atypeek Music has taken in artists from partner labels like Disques Futura et Marge, Noise Product, Dokidoki, Solar Flare, Permis de Construire Deutschland (PDCD), micr0lab and RecRec Music. Atypeek Music's distributed on iTunes and all the major digital music distribution stores. In 2016, the structure publishes the first issue of the magazine "Atypeek Mag", a collaborative music and generalist magazine. In 2021, Atypeek Music and the label Jarring Effects join forces to create a new label called Daaganda Records.

Live VII is the seventh live album by post-metal band Isis, recorded at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne, Australia on February 25, 2010. It was released as a digital download on March 31, 2017, and on limited-edition CD and vinyl through Ipecac. Live VII features material from Wavering Radiant, as well as select highlights from each of the band's other studio albums.
