Enema Paul (died 14 December 2024) was a Nigerian politician. He was a Deputy Speaker and member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Okura State Constituency of Kogi State in the 8th National Assembly. [1] He passed away on 14 December 2024. [2]
Paul died from an undisclosed illness at a private hospital in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday, 14 December 2024. [3] [4] Prior to his death, he had stepped down as Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly on health grounds and was subsequently replaced by Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, the member representing Ibaji State Constituency. [5]
Kogi State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the west by the states of Ekiti and Kwara, to the north by the Federal Capital Territory, to the northeast by Nasarawa State, to the northwest by Niger State, to the southwest by the Edo and Ondo states, to the southeast by the states of Anambra and Enugu, and to the east by Benue State. It is the only state in Nigeria to border ten other states. Named after the Hausa word for river (Kogi). Kogi State was formed from parts of Benue State, Niger State, and Kwara State on 27 August 1991. Idris was succeeded by his brother-in-law Captain Idris Wada, who won election in December 2011 and took office in January 2012.
