Enhanced Acoustic Simulator for Engineers (EASE) is an engineering design and analysis software for optimizing acoustics. [1] The full product is licensed and copy protected. It can perform complex analysis in three-dimensional space. There is a free-to-use web-based version available for two-dimensional analysis with limited geometry options. [2]

Micro-Cap

Micro-Cap is a SPICE compatible analog/digital circuit simulator with an integrated schematic editor that provides an interactive sketch and simulate environment for electronics engineers. It was developed by Spectrum Software and is currently at version 12. In July 2019, Spectrum Software closed down and Micro-Cap was released as freeware, and they no longer provide technical support or software updates. Previously, Micro-Cap was only available under a paid commercial license.

He is most famous for originating the term CAD for computer-aided design, and is considered to be the father of Automatically Programmed Tools (APT), a programming language to drive numerical control in manufacturing. Smaart is a suite of audio and acoustical measurements and instrumentation software tools introduced in 1996 by JBL's pro audio division. It is designed to help the live sound engineer optimize sound reinforcement systems during the public performance. Most earlier analysis systems required specific test signals sent to the sound system, ones which would be unpleasant for the audience to hear. It is also intended to assist audio engineers in analyzing the output of loudspeakers, audio amplifiers and other audio gear, as well as helping the acoustician analyze room acoustics.

Officially spun off from the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in 1995, it provides Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) tools for semiconductor device and process simulations.

Deepak B. Phatak, is an Indian computer scientist and academic, and a recipient of the Padma Shri Award for his contribution in science and technology in 2013. He is known for his notable work for upgrading Aakash, advertised by its manufacturer as the 'world's cheapest tablet'. In 2009, he was ranked one of the 50 most powerful people in India.

Charlie Hughes American inventor and audio engineer (born 1965)

Charles Emory Hughes II is an American inventor and audio engineer. He is known for his work on loudspeaker design, and the measurement of professional audio sound systems. Hughes first worked for Peavey Electronics designing loudspeakers and horns where he was granted a patent for the Quadratic-Throat Waveguide horn used in concert loudspeakers. He worked for Altec Lansing for two years as chief engineer for the pro audio division and was granted two more patents. In 2021, Hughes was hired by Biamp as principal engineer.

MOOSE (software)

MOOSE is an object-oriented C++ finite element framework for the development of tightly coupled multiphysics solvers from Idaho National Laboratory. MOOSE makes use of the PETSc non-linear solver package and libmesh to provide the finite element discretization.

Designers have used computers for calculations since their invention. Digital computers were used in power system analysis or optimization as early as proto-"Whirlwind" in 1949. Circuit design theory or power network methodology was algebraic, symbolic, and often vector-based.
