Enzo Coloni (born 17 October 1946) [1] is an Italian former racing driver and owner of the Scuderia Coloni racing team. His son Paolo Coloni is also a racing driver.

Career

Coloni began his international motor racing career in 1974 with a guest appearance in Formula Italia, where he scored one win. A year later in the same series he was fourth. In later years, he also appeared in the Italian Formula 3, Italian Formula Ford Super 2000, European Formula 3, Italian Formula 2000, European Formula 2 and the Monaco Grand Prix. The Italian competed in European Formula 2 in 1980 and 1983. However, he failed to score points in any of the two races he entered.

In 1987, Coloni founded his own racing team, Coloni, building Formula 1 cars and competing in Formula 3000, GP2 Series, Formula 3 and other lower series.

Marco Apicella is an Italian former professional racing driver. He competed in one Formula One Grand Prix for the Jordan team in the 1993 Italian Grand Prix. He later won the 1994 Japanese Formula 3000 Championship driving for Dome.

Osella is an Italian racing car manufacturer and former Formula One team. They participated in 132 Grands Prix between 1980 and 1990. They achieved two points finishes and scored five world championship points.

Enrico Agostino Bertaggia is a former racing driver from Italy. He enjoyed success in Formula Three, winning the Italian Formula Three Championship in 1987 and the Monaco Grand Prix F3 support race and the Macau Grand Prix the following year.

Coloni Motorsport, also known as Scuderia Coloni, was an auto racing team from Italy. Founded by former racing driver Enzo Coloni in 1983, the team participated in Formula Three between 1983 and 1986, before racing in Formula One as Enzo Coloni Racing Car Systems between 1987 and 1991. They made 82 attempts to take part in a Formula One race but only qualified 14 times. Since then, under the management of Enzo Coloni's son Paolo, the team has been successful in Formula Three, Formula 3000 and GP2 Series. Between 2006 and 2009 the team ran under the name of Fisichella Motor Sport, with support from Formula One driver Giancarlo Fisichella and his manager Enrico Zanarini.

The 2005 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the third championship year of Europe's premier Formula Three series. The championship consisted of ten rounds – each with two races – held at a variety of European circuits. Each weekend consisted of one 60-minute practice session and two 30-minute qualifying sessions, followed by one c.110 km race and one c.80 km race. Each qualifying session awarded one bonus point for pole position and each race awarded points for the top eight finishers, with ten points per win. Lewis Hamilton dominated the season, winning 15 of the 20 races and scoring nearly twice as many points as his nearest rival, team-mate Adrian Sutil. As of now, six drivers have competed in Formula One.
