The Team equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 26 September. [1] It was won by the team representing Flag of the United Kingdom.svg  Great Britain. [2]

2004 Summer Paralympics

The 2004 Summer Paralympics, the 12th Summer Paralympic Games, were a major international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee, held in Athens, Greece from 17 September to 28 September 2004. 3,806 athletes from 136 National Paralympic Committees competed. 519 medal events were held in 19 sports.

Great Britain at the 2004 Summer Paralympics

Great Britain sent a delegation of 166 athletes to the 2004 Summer Paralympics, covering 15 sports. The ParalympicsGB team entered the opening ceremony behind the Union Flag carried by Noel Thatcher.

Rob Oakley Australian male equestrian Paralympian

Rob Oakley is an Australian equestrian. He represented Australia in equestrian at the 2012 Summer Paralympics but did not medal.

Joann Formosa, is an Australian Para-equestrian, who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympics.

Grace Bowman (equestrian) Australian female equestrian Paralympian

Grace Bowman is an Australian equestrian. She was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in the equestrian event. She did not medal at the 2012 Games.

Para-equestrian is an equestrian sport governed by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), and includes two competitive events: One is para-equestrian dressage, which is conducted under the same basic rules as conventional dressage, but with riders divided into different competition grades based on their functional abilities. The other is para-equestrian driving, which operates under the same basic rules as combined driving but places competitors in various grades based on their functional abilities.

Jonathan Michael Wentz was an American Paralympic equestrian competitor. He competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, where he finished fourth in the Grade 1b individual championship event.

The Individual championship test grade I equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 21 September. It was won by Lee Pearson MBE, representing  Great Britain.

The Individual championship test grade II equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 22 September. It was won by Irene Slaettengren, representing  Sweden. Two bronze medals were awarded for tied scores.

The Individual championship test grade III equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 21 September. It was won by Deborah Criddle, representing  Great Britain.

The Individual championship test grade IV equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 22 September. It was won by Ann Cathrin Lubbe, representing  Norway.

The Individual freestyle test grade I equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 23 September. It was won by Lee Pearson MBE, representing  Great Britain.

The Individual freestyle test grade II equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 24 September. It was won by Irene Slaettengren, representing  Sweden.

The Individual freestyle test grade III equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 23 September. It was won by Deborah Criddle, representing  Great Britain.

The Individual freestyle test grade IV equestrian event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics was competed on 24 September. It was won by Ann Cathrin Lubbe, representing  Norway.

Sharon Jarvis

Sharon Jarvis is an Australian para-equestrian. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Rebecca Hart is a para-equestrian from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hart was born with a rare genetic disease, Familial spastic paraplegia (FSP). FSP affected Hart as a child with difficulty gaining strength in her upper body as well as slowing down her motor development.
