Eric Anders is an American singer-songwriter based in California. [1]
Anders released his first album in 2003, at the age of 39. [2] Not at One was produced by Anders and Richard Barron. Anders collaborated on the songwriting with Mark O'Bitz and Benny Bohm. [3] In 2004, Anders released the EP Songs For Wayward Days in protest of what Anders believed to be the illegitimate administration of George W. Bush. [2] It was produced and mixed by Jeff Peters. [4]
In 2005 Anders released his second album, More Regrets, [5] produced by Grammy-winning guitarist, Randy Ray Mitchell. His third album, Tethered to the Ground, was released in 2006 [6] and was produced by Matthew Emerson Brown. [7] Anders' first releases were all mixed by Jeff Peters. [4]
After a five-year break, Anders released the EP Remains In Me in 2011, also produced by Brown. [2] The album was inspired the 1992 Michael Apted documentary, Incident at Oglala.
In 2017 Anders released the album Eleven Nine, which featured the Vilnius mural of Donald Trump kissing Vladimir Putin on its cover. The name of the album comes from the day on which President Trump was elected—the ninth of November [8] —as well as referencing the date of the 9/11 Attacks, another event that Anders sees as catastrophic to the U.S. [9]
In 2018, Anders released his first album as a duo with guitarist-composer Mark O'Bitz, Of All These Things. [10]
After Of All These Things, the duo would release eight albums, six EPs, and seven singles.
Anders and O'Bitz released the single, "Matterbloomlight", in 2018 and it would be the inspiration for the duo's 2020 album American Bardo, created as an ode to the novel Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. [11] [10]
Anders and O'Bitz worked with producer Mike Butler on both American Bardo and This Mortal Farce. They would work with Butler on every release after.
Anders, O'Bitz and Butler released their single "Careful Now My Son" [12] in December 2020--and then their album Sirens Go By in February 2021. These releases are the first and second installments of their multi-release collection that is based around the theme of "music in the time of the coronavirus," which also includes the 2021 albums, Stuck Inside and Variant Blues. Anders, O'Bitz, and Butler worked with Basque artist Joseba Elorza (Greenday) on the critically acclaimed "Searise" climate change music video.
Anders, O'Bitz, and Butler continued producing work that would mix Americana, rock, and folk with their albums The Loss We've Won (2022), So Far Gone (2022), Answers Belie (2023), and their EPs The Unencumbered Ones (2023) and Contrapasso (2024).
Their dual EP project, Bardo Hauntings (2022), were all remixes of the twelve American Bardo songs: six by Steven Jess Borth II and six by Mike Butler.

Erasure are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1984, consisting of lead vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell with songwriter, producer and keyboardist Vince Clarke, previously known as co-founder of the band Depeche Mode and a member of synth-pop duo Yazoo. From their fourth single, "Sometimes" (1986), Erasure established themselves on the UK Singles Chart, becoming one of the most successful acts of the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. From 1986 to 2007, the pair achieved 24 consecutive top-40 entries in the UK singles chart. By 2009, 34 of their 37 chart-eligible singles and EPs had made the UK top 40, including 17 climbing into the top 10. At the 1989 Brit Awards, Erasure won the Brit Award for Best British Group.
Yazoo were an English synth-pop duo from Basildon, Essex, consisting of former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke (keyboards) and Alison Moyet (vocals). The duo formed in late 1981 after Clarke responded to an advertisement Moyet placed in a British music magazine, although the pair had known each other since their school days.
Bernard Joseph Butler is an English musician, songwriter and record producer. He has been hailed by some critics as the greatest guitarist of his generation; BBC journalist Mark Savage called him "one of Britain's most original and influential guitarists". He was voted the 24th greatest guitarist of the last 30 years in a national 2010 BBC poll and is often seen performing with a 1961 cherry red Gibson ES-355 TD SV with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.

Known primarily for his experimental tabla playing within electronic music contexts, Kale's career has seen him take on roles of an Indian classical tabla player, singer, songwriter, film and TV score composer and DJ. He is considered a pioneer of the Asian Underground genre, bringing elements of Indian music to Electronica and Dance. His career highlights include touring as the supergroup Tabla Beat Science, 6 solo studio records from 1999, the seminal 2005 album "Breathing Under Water" with Anoushka Shankar, scoring and production for the 2019 Bollywood smash hit "Gully Boy", curating 6 acclaimed songs for the Indian Coke Studio in 2012, amongst many others. Kale is also popular for his eclectic collaborations with Sting, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Sultan Khan, U2, Norah Jones, Yoko Ono, and Herbie Hancock to name a few.
Crackers International is a Christmas EP released by English synth-pop duo Erasure in November 1988, in between the albums The Innocents (1988) and Wild! (1989). The EP reached number-one in Denmark and Argentina, and peaked at number two in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Bardo was a male/female pop music duo formed to represent the United Kingdom in the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "One Step Further".
Alphabeat were a Danish pop band from Silkeborg, fronted by singers Stine Bramsen and Anders Stig Gehrt Nielsen. Their single "Fascination" was a major hit in Denmark during the summer of 2006, as well as the United Kingdom in 2008. Their 2007 eponymous debut album reached number two in Denmark and was certified Platinum. Following its wide release in Europe in 2008, retitled This is Alphabeat, it reached number ten in the UK and was certified Gold in the region. The album also contains their first number one hit in Denmark, "10.000 Nights of Thunder".
Bardo State consists of the duo Frank Wijn and Dorian Broekhuyse. Frank is the son of Jan Wijn, a famous Dutch concert pianist, while Dorian attended the conservatory in Amsterdam and has a background in pop and dance music. Dorian used to work with Jocelyn Brown, Victoria Wilson James and George Clinton during the nineties. Raised on musical influences such as Satie, Ravel & Saint-Saëns, the Dutch twosome are also inspired by contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt and Philip Glass. They compose music that is best described as a crossover between pop and classical music. Bardo State works with various classical and pop vocalists, both male and female, including Jo Lemaire and Kevin Mark Trail. They use classical themes and traditional folk music to base their music on.
Bardo State started producing in 2004 and their debut album Mariposa was released in 2008. Their album Mariposa has been reviewed in national as well as in international magazines. Bardo State has among others remixed Radiohead and covered David Bowie and Kate Bush. One of their tracks, "Kosovo", was the soundtrack of the Hollywood film Jekyll and Hyde. Many songs of Bardo State have been licensed for several compilations, such as the "Buddha Bar"- and the "Supperclub" compilations. Two of their singles, "Paradis" and "This Is Not America", were regularly played at Radio 2 (Netherlands) and "Sospiro" was used for a performance by contestants in the Italian TV show Amici.
For the dying individual, the bardo is the period of the afterlife that lies in between two different incarnations. In January 2010 United Recordings went Bankrupt. All handling, rights and communication concerning Bardo State have been taken over by Bardo State Music.
Tinashe Fazakerley, now professionally known as Rationale, is a Zimbabwe-born British singer and songwriter, formerly known as Tinashé. He is known for his soulful R&B and indie pop style with electric influences. His alias Tinashé was known for his synthpop sound and his African influences.

Lemaitre is a Norwegian indie electronic duo hailing from Oslo. The duo consists of members Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou Lund. Jansen and Lund came together to form Lemaitre on 20 June 2010. Lemaitre is currently based in Los Angeles, California.

Boy Harsher is an American electronic music group, formed in 2013 in Savannah, Georgia. Currently based in Northampton, Massachusetts, the band consists of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller. The band has amassed a cult following since their formation, and their song "Pain" has become an underground hit. Matthews and Muller own and run the label Nude Club, which is exclusively devoted to Boy Harsher and related artists.
