Eric Desmond Gorman (born 16 August 1942) [1] is a former Australian rules footballer who was highly successful in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL) playing for the Swan Districts Football Club. He began his career at Swan Districts in 1961 and played for 9 seasons in total to the end of the 1969 season. During his time at the club he played 163 games and kicked a total of 555 goals. [2] Part of the premiership sides in 1962 and 1963, Gorman played at full forward in each grand final. He kicked 9 goals in the 1963 grand final which remains a record in WAFL football. Gorman went on finish as Swan Districts top goal kickier on seven consecutive occasions, with his highest tally being 97 goals in 1965. [3]
The Claremont Football Club, nicknamed Tigers, is an Australian rules football club based in Claremont, Western Australia, that currently plays in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region.
The Subiaco Football Club, nicknamed the Lions and known before 1973 as the Maroons, is an Australian rules football club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). It was founded in 1896, and admitted to the WAFL in 1901, along with North Fremantle. The club is currently based at Leederville Oval, having previously played at Subiaco Oval.

Hunter was born in Bunbury, Western Australia, and played with the South Bunbury Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being recruited to West Coast with the 29th pick overall in the 1999 National Draft. Playing mainly in defence, though occasionally at centre half-forward, Hunter played a total of 151 games for the club between 2000 and 2009, including the 2006 premiership win.

Bradley John Shine is a former Australian rules football player who played for the Carlton Football Club in the AFL and Swan Districts Football Club in the WAFL throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Shine was recruited to Swan Districts in 1980 the same year as Graham Melrose and Anthony Solin during this time he wore the number 7 guernsey. With good skills and pace, he fast became an integral part of the dominant Swan Districts side of the early 1980s and played in the 1982, 1983 and 1984 premiership teams. In the 1982 and 1984 Grand Finals, he played on the half forward flank, but in the 1983 Grand Final he played on the ball as a rover and was awarded the Simpson Medal for his superb efforts on the day. In 1985 Shine moved eastwards to play for Carlton but never really made his mark in the seniors but was awarded the reserves best and fairest in 1985 and reserves best Clubman in 1986. During his time at Carlton he wore the number 10 guernsey. Returning to Swan Districts in 1989 he played his last season in 1990 after playing 111 games for the club and kicking 85 goals.
