Eric Oduro Osae is a Ghanaian local governance official, lawyer and chartered accountant who serves as the director general of the internal audit agency of Ghana. [1] [2] [3] He is the technical director to the Ministry of local Governance and Rural Development. [4] [5] Osae is the dean of graduate studies at the Institute of Local Governance [6] [7] and a radio and television analyst on local governance issues. [6] [7] [8]

Early life and education

Osae had his senior high school education at the Presbyterian Boys Secondary school, Legon, Accra. He continued at the University of Professional Studies, Accra to read accounting and became a chartered accountant. [9] [ unreliable source? ] Osae continued his education at University of Cape Coast where he was awarded Bachelor of Commerce Degree and in 2007 graduated as the best Tax Lawyer at the Ghana School of law. Career

Osae practiced previously from the Chamber of Koi Larbi & Co. and has served as the head of finance and accounts at the Institute of Local Government Studies between 2000 and 2010. [11] [ unreliable source? ] He is the Technical Advisor for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development. [12] [13] Osae is currently the Director General of the Internal Audit agency. Paul Victor ObengKSG also known as P. V. Obeng was a Ghanaian mechanical engineer and politician. He was the chairman of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology council. In 2010, he was appointed by the President John Atta Mills administration as Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC). Until his death, he was the Senior Presidential Adviser at Presidency to President John Dramani Mahama. He served under President's Jerry John Rawlings, John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama in different capacities. He was a member and coordinating secretary and chairman of the Committee of Secretaries of the Provisional National Defence Council. He died on 17 May 2014.

The Government of Ghana initially responded to the virus through a nationwide disinfection and fumigation exercise which began in April 2020. In order to curb the spread of the virus, the government enforced lockdowns, aggressive contact tracing, public bans and social measures such as encouraging the wearing of face masks. By April, it began the gradual reopening of the country; lifting all lockdowns while maintaining protocols such as social distancing. Throughout the pandemic, the government partnered with the private sector in order to roll out economic reliefs and recovery programs as a result of the impact of the pandemic on Ghana's economy. There was also an expansion of medical facilities and the improvement of testing logistics.
