Erin (Woods) White is a Canadian softball first baseman. She is a graduate of Iowa State University, where she played catcher and at one point held the school's career home run record. She was a member of the Canadian Softball team that finished 5th at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She now coaches softball at Solon High School in Solon, Iowa. Her Solon team won the 2007, Division 2A Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Title. Her husband, Jim White, after coaching at cross town rival CCA, made the move to Solon as the head softball coach.
Erin Cumpstone is a Canadian softball catcher, former ringette player who also played for the Canadian national ringette team, and currently a National Ringette League coach for the Saskatchewan Heat. She began playing softball at age seven and studied at Simon Fraser University.

The US team has been successful in international play, taking three straight gold medal in Olympic Games and eleven titles in Women's World Cup. At the 2004 Olympics, the Americans held their opponents to only one run scored in 7 games. The lone run came in a 5–1 victory over the Australian team. However, the team then won the silver medals at the 2008 and 2020 Summer Olympics, both times narrowly losing to Japan.

It is governed by Softball Australia and takes part in international softball competitions. They are one of Australia's most successful women's sporting teams on the world stage, and they have achieved outstanding results over the last 3 decades. Alongside the USA team, the Aussie Spirit are the only other team to medal at all 4 Olympics that softball was included as a sport in the Olympics program. At the inaugural Women's Softball World Championship held in Melbourne, 1965. Australia claimed the first ever title, winning Gold and stamped themselves as a pioneer in the sport.

Yukiko Ueno is a Japanese professional softball pitcher for Bic Camera Takasaki Bee Queen and Japan women's national softball team. With a fastball that tops out at 128 km/h (80 mph), she is widely recognized as the fastest pitcher in women's softball, although her signature pitch is her change-up, which is often cited as the best in the world.
Stacey McManus is an Australian softball player. She is a shortstop and second baseman, plays club softball and has represented New South Wales in national competitions. She is a member of Australia women's national softball team and competed at the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Series and the World Cup of Softball. She is trying to earn a spot on the team that will compete at the 2012 ISF XIII Women's World Championships.

Softball was featured at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in its first Olympic appearance since 2008. The tournament consisted of six teams. Baseball/softball was one of five optional sports added to the program of the 2020 Summer Olympics. The first six opening round games were played at Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium in an effort to highlight Fukushima's recovery from the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, while the remaining games were played at Yokohama Stadium. Softball will not return in 2024.

She played college softball at Arizona, where she was a starting pitcher. In her senior year, McQuillin led Arizona softball to a berth in the 2019 Women's College World Series after being absent for nearly a decade.
Eujenna "Jenna" Afrodite Caira is a Canadian, former collegiate All-American, medal-winning Olympian, professional softball pitcher for the Canadian Wild of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). Caira was a starting pitcher for the Syracuse Orange from 2009–12 and holds the career records in wins, shutouts and innings pitched. Additionally, she is the Big East Conference career leader in strikeouts. She has been a member of the Canada women's national softball team since June 2009 and helped them win a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Haylie McCleney is an American former professional softball outfielder. She played college softball for Alabama. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal. She most recently played in the Athletes Unlimited Softball league.

Janet Leung is a Canadian former professional softball player. She played professionally for the Canadian Wild of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). She played college softball at Brown University from 2012 to 2016 and earned All-Ivy all four years. She has been a member of Canada women's national softball team since 2017 and helped the team make history by winning Canada's first medal in the sport at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Sashel Aitiana Palacios Barajas is an American softball catcher of Mexican descent. After playing college softball for Arizona State, she embarked on a professional career in 2018. She also helped the Mexico national team qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics, which finished the tournament in fourth place.
