Ermal Fejzullahu (born 23 August 1988 in Pristina) is a Kosovo-Albanian singer.


Early life

Ermal Fejzullahu was born on 23 August 1988 in Pristina, Kosovo. He is the son of well-known Albanian singer Sabri Fejzullahu. [1]


In the summer of 2010 Fejzullahu had a song collaboration with Tingulli 3nt, a famous Albanian rapper group. The video of the song was reportedly censored, because of the excessive nudity exposed in the images. [2]

He was the winner of Top Fest edition of 2015. [3]

Personal life

He is married to Ariana Fejzullahu and together they have four children named Art, Buna, Era and Ana. [4] [5]

Classical music in Kosovo refers to the art music cultivated in Kosovo. The roots of classical music in Kosovo are found in the 1940s and include the time period from the times when Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia to this day. It can be said that there is a tradition of classical music in Kosovo, however, compared to other Balkan countries and especially European countries this tradition is younger. Classical music in Kosovo reaches back about 70 years. Even though in a short period of time, this music has evolved, passing through generations of composers and artists. In his book Albanian: Zhvillimi i stileve në veprat e kompozitorëve shqiptarë të Kosovës, Engjëll Berisha comments:

"The diversity of styles in Albanian music [of Kosovo], its national patterns with sound idea-aesthetic foundations are a characteristic of the European musical reality, so many many works are of interest abroad, too, because during this relatively short period Albanian classical music in Kosovo has compensated for the delay in its development."

Elvana Gjata, also known mononymously as Elvana, is an Albanian singer, songwriter, actress, composer and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Tirana, she has been referred to as the "Diva of Albanian music" and is noted for her versatility in music, performance and presentation. She rose to recognition in the Albanian-speaking Balkans following the release of her two albums, Mamës (2007) and Afër dhe larg (2011), both of which were influenced by r&b and dance-pop. Her success was further solidified with the later released extended play 3 (2018), which incorporated more pop-rock and folk elements. Gjata has received numerous awards and accolades, including two Balkan Music Award, a Festivali i Këngës Award, four Kënga Magjike Awards and a Top Fest Award.

Top Fest is a music competition organised by Top Channel. It began airing in 2004 and has been held since. It is annually held in Tirana, Albania. The songs are usually performed in Albanian with artists from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and other Albanian-speaking territories. From its 7th edition (2010), the participants perform their entries 100% live.

Florian Kondi, known professionally as Dr. Flori, was an Albanian recording artist, singer-songwriter, and rapper. Trim Ademi, known professionally as Capital T, is a Kosovo-Albanian rapper, singer, songwriter and philanthropist. Born and raised in Pristina, his uncle introduced him to music and rapping at an early age. He rose to recognition in the Albanian-speaking world, after the release of his first two albums Replay (2010) and KAPO (2012). Due to the success of his albums, he founded his own record label Authentic Entertainment. Fustani (song) 2019 single by Elvana Gjata featuring Capital T

"Fustani" is a song recorded by Albanian singer and songwriter Elvana Gjata featuring Kosovo-Albanian rapper Capital T. It was written by both aforementioned artists and produced by Albanian producers Rzon and Arbre Blass. Swedish producer Johan Bejerholm further mastered and mixed the song. An official music video for "Fustani" was shot in Turkey and was uploaded on 29 June 2019 onto YouTube to accompany the single's release. A vibrant video, it features scenes of the pair performing to the song in the outskirts of Istanbul in variety of sets, and Elvana appearing with five different dresses throughout the entire video. The single experienced commercial success in Albania and went on to the country's number one The Top List chart. The record was further promoted by both artists with live performances at the Alba Festival 2019 in Zürich and soon after, at the Sunny Hill Festival 2019 in Pristina.
