The Ersal Commercial Center, also known as the Al-Ersal real-estate project, is a central business district under construction in Ramallah, Palestine. It is one of the largest $400 million commercial development under construction in Ramallah, Palestine. [1] The project is co-sponsored by the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) and The Land Holding, a Saudi real estate company, which have created a new development company called Arduna to construct the Ersal Center. [2] Ground was broken in October 2008 on the projected 4-year development project. [2] [3]

The Ramallah Friends School is a private school in West Bank with campuses in the twin cities of Ramallah and al-Bireh. The Friends Girls' School was inaugurated in 1869; the construction of the Friends Boys' School began in 1901 and the school opened in 1918. The Schools were run by American Quakers. Both campuses are now co-educational and divided into Senior and Junior sections; a Meeting House was built in 1910. The Swift Building, located in the upper School and named after Sara Swift of New England, was made the home of the Friends International Center in Ramallah after restoration work was completed. During the First World War, the Boys' School was commandeered by Ottoman troops for use as a hospital during Allenby's assault on Palestine. The school is currently headed by former student and teacher Rania Maayeh who is a member of the Friends United Meeting.

The Palestine Investment Fund is an independent investment company aiming to strengthen the Palestinian economy through strategic investments, while maximising long-run returns for its ultimate shareholder; the people of Palestine. Established in 2003, it was created by a transfer of assets previously managed by the Palestinian Authority. Since January 2009, Mohammad Mustafa has been the chairman and co-president of the company.
