Erwin Noack (born 4 August 1940 in Uetersen, Hamburg - died 11 November 2006 in Bremen) was a German artist and musician. He was known for his murals of various buildings in Bremen and as the percussionist of Thirsty Moon, a German progressive-rock-jazz band.

Thirsty Moon is a German Krautrock band. The band was founded in the early 1970s in Bremen and plays progressive rock with strong jazz influences. Band members were the brothers Jürgen and Norbert Drogies, Michael Kobs, Harald Konietzko, Erwin Noack, Willi Pape and Siegfried Pisalla, although this line-up changed in the late 1970s. The band's first two albums received critical acclaim and are considered Krautrock classics.
Rudolf "Rudi" Noack was a German football (soccer) player. He played in the 1934 FIFA World Cup, scoring one goal in the tournament against Czechoslovakia in the semi-finals.

Volker Spengler was a German stage and film actor. Spengler was best known to international audiences as a member of director Rainer Werner Fassbinder's acting ensemble, including his role as the transsexual Erwin/Elvira of Fassbinder's In a Year of 13 Moons (1978). Spengler appeared in about 40 film and television productions between 1966 and 2004, also working with other directors such as Christoph Schlingensief and Volker Schlöndorff. On stage, he performed at Berlin's Volksbühne and with the Berliner Ensemble.

The film was made in response to the suicide of Fassbinder's lover at the time, Armin Meier. In a "Top 10" list of his own films, Fassbinder placed In a Year of 13 Moons second, after Beware of a Holy Whore.

Ute Noack is a retired German butterfly swimmer who won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay at the 1962 European Aquatics Championships, setting a new world record. For this achievement, the relay team members were named German Sportspersonalities of the Year in the team category in 1962. Noack also won the silver medal in the 100 m butterfly at the same championships. She competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in the 100 m butterfly, but was eliminated in the preliminaries.

Erwin Schulz was a German member of the Gestapo and the SS in Nazi Germany. He was the leader of Mission squad 5, part of Einsatzgruppe C, which was attached to the Army Group South during the planned invasion of Soviet Union in 1941, and operated in the occupied territories of south-eastern Poland and Ukrainian SSR committing mass killings of civilian population, mostly of Jewish ethnicity, under the command of SS-brigadier general Otto Rasch.

German submarine U-3028 was a Type XXI U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine, built for service in World War II. She was ordered on 6 November 1943, and was laid down on 26 October 1944 at AG Weser, Bremen, as yard number 1187. She was launched on 22 December 1944, and commissioned under the command of Kapitänleutnant Erwin Christophersen, on 27 January 1945.
