Esmeralda Ermale (since marriage Esmeralda Treimane [1] (born December 5, 1956, Iecava) is a Latvian actress.
Esmeralda Ermale received her secondary education at the Iecava secondary school. Later she studied at the People's Film Actors Studio of the Riga Cinema Studio and at the Theater Faculty of the State Conservatory. In 1977, she graduated from the VI studio of Dailes Theater.
Esmeralda Ermale has been working at the Fine Arts Theater since 1974. In 1977 and 1978 she was a staff actress of the theater. She later left her job due to downsizing, [2] [3] but in 2022 she again participated in Ināra Slutka's play Women's Parts. [4] She has acted in films since 1973, when she made her cinema debut as Baiba in Gunara Pieš's film Pūt, vējini. [5]
Ermale also works on television, hosting the programs "Dzivite" (previously LTV1, now LNT) and "Daudz laimes!" (LTV1).

Ermale was married to the well-known architect Edgars Treimanis for more than 30 years. Two daughters have grown up in the family: Liene and Ilze. [6]

The Dailes Theatre is a professional Latvian theater founded by Latvian director and actor Eduards Smiļģis (1886-1966) on November 19, 1920 at the Craftsmen Relief Society House at Lāčplēša Street 25, Riga, Latvia. Today, it is located at Brīvības Street 75, Riga, Latvia in functionalism architecture style building with three halls: large hall, small hall and chamber hall. It is typical for the theater to stage large-scale and dramatically tense performances of the form, as well as talk about significant personalities of history and culture of its time. According to the director these performances reflect the guidelines set out in the theatrical motto - clarity, simplicity, passion. The theater repertoire includes works by both Latvian and foreign authors.
Kārlis Lācis is a Latvian contemporary composer. Along with the scores for theatre productions, movies, and musical arrangements, a large part of his work is dedicated to vocal and choral music, symphonic, and instrumental compositions, including "Te Deum" (2014) with the State Choir Latvija, and double concerto for flute, oboe and orchestra "42.195" (2014) with Liepaja symphony orchestra. "Rorate coeli" (2014) for soprano, saxophone and organ and the first symphony "Via Crucis" premiered on April 3, 2015 with Latvian National symphony orchestra. Kārlis was one of the jury members for 2014 World choir games while Latvian capital Riga was the European capital of culture. Latvia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "That Night" written by Mārcis Vasiļevskis and Sabīne Žuga. The song was performed by the band Carousel. The Latvian broadcaster Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) organized the national final Supernova 2019 in order to select the Latvian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. 16 songs were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. In the semi-finals on 26 January and 2 February 2019, four entries were selected to advance from each show. Eight songs ultimately qualified to compete in the final on 16 February 2019 where a public televote and a five-member jury panel selected "That Night" performed by Carousel as the winner.
