Espen PA Lervaag (Espen Petrus Andersen Lervaag), born July 10, 1977 is a Norwegian writer, comedian and actor. [1]

He is the creator and lead actor in the Norwegian TV-series Maniac . [2] [3]

Maniac is an American psychological drama / dark comedy miniseries that premiered on Netflix on September 21, 2018, after being announced in 2016. It was created by Patrick Somerville and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, very loosely based on the 2015 Norwegian television series of the same name starring co-creator Espen PA Lervaag, but drawing inspiration from many more famous films. The 10-episode series stars Emma Stone, Jonah Hill, Justin Theroux, Sonoya Mizuno, Gabriel Byrne, and Sally Field. The plot follows two strangers who connect during a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial set in a retro-future NYC.

Maniac is a Norwegian comedy-drama series that was released by TV 2 in 2015. It stars Espen PA Lervaag. Håkon Bast Mossige and Ingeborg Raustøl have supporting roles. Kjetil Indregard directs. The series is produced for Rubicon TV by producer Terje Strømstad, creative producer Ole Marius Araldsen and executive producers Anne Kolbjørnsen and Pal Kruke Kristiansen.
