Esperides Kallitheas is a women's basketball club, based in Kallithea, Athens. Esperides was founded in 1995, and at the end of 2012, changed its name and its emblem, and restarted as GS Ikaros kallitheas. This was because since Esperides faced financial problems and wasn't able to continue in the Greek Women's League championship. [1] [2] Esperides has won two Greek Women's League championships and four Greek Women's Cups. [3] [4] In 2017-18 season Ikaros Kallitheas renamed again Esperides Kallitheas.

History

Esperides was founded in 1995, after merging with the Esperos Women's club, Pantzitzifiakos, and Kallithea AE. In 2003, it absorbed the women's team of Glyfada B.C. During the 2000s, Esperides starred in Greek Women's League basketball. It won two Greek Women's League championships (2006, 2008), and was also the finalist six times (2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012). Esperides also won four Greek Women's Cups. In 2012, the club was renamed to Ikaros Kallitheas, since it was in danger of dissolving because of financial problems. [1] [2] In the 2013-14 season, the new club, GS Ikaros Kallitheas, was relegated, and it now plays in the Greek Women's A2 national league (Greek women's second tier).

Ikaros Kallitheas B.C. is a professional basketball club that is based in Kallithea, Athens, Greece. The club has changed its home location several times. It was originally based in Nea Smyrni, and later moved to Kallithea, then moved for a while to Chalkida, and finally returned to Kallithea. Its full official name is Panathlitikos Omilos Kallitheas Ikaros, or P.O.K. Ikaros. The club's colors are white, blue, and red.

FO Vrilissia Greek volleyball club

FO Vrilissia, full name Filathlitikos Omilos Vrilissia is Greek volleyball club based in Vrilissia, Athens. It is mainly active in women volleyball and it is one of the most successful clubs in this sport. FO Vrilissia has won 9 Panhellenic titles in women volleyball. Despite its successful presence the club retreated from the championship in season 2014-15 due to financial problems and relegated to second tier championship.

Panionios Womens Basketball Greek basketball team

Panionios Women's Basketball is the women's basketball department of Panionios GSS, the Greek multi-sport club based in Nea Smyrni. The first basketball department of the club was founded in 1919 and was one of the first in Greece. The women's department in turn was established in the post-war period. Its last reconstitution took place in the late 1990s. The club plays in A2 Ethniki but recently it has played in A1 Ethniki. They have won one Greek Championship, in 2007.

GS Iraklis Women's Basketball is the women's basketball department of G.S. Iraklis, the Greek multi-sports club based in Thessaloniki. The club plays in A2 Ethniki. They have won three Greek Championships, in 1968, 1970 and 1971.

Panellinios V.C. Greek volleyball club

Panellinios V.C. is the men's volleyball section of Panellinios G.S., the Greek multi-sports club, that is based in Athens. It was one of the first volleyball clubs in Greece, and is also one of the most successful, since it has won six Greek Championships. Panellinios also has a women's team that has won two Greek Women's Championships, and one Greek Women's Cup.

Olympiacos Volou B.C. is the basketball department of the Greek multi-sport club of Olympiacos Volou, based in Volos. The club has teams both men's and women's. The women's basketball team stands out from the departments of the club because it is the only department of Olympiacos Volou that has won a Greek Championship. The club plays in Volos Municipal Stadium Indoor Hall, with a capacity of 1200 spectators.
