EsselWorld is an amusement park located in Gorai on Dharavi island, Mumbai. [1] It is operated Pan India Pariyatan Ltd.[ citation needed ] It covers an area of 65 acres along with Water Kingdom, and was opened to the public in 1989. [2] [3] Along with Adlabs Imagica, EsselWorld is one of the largest amusement parks in India. [4] The park has been temporarily closed until further notice since April 2022. [5]

EsselWorld has been involved in multiple controversies. The original land acquisition for 700 acres was mired in controversy and claimed to be illegal. [6] Additionally, there have been allegations of illegal destruction of mangroves and violation of coastal zone regulations. [7]

The park's catchphrase is "EsselWorld me rahunga mein, ghar nahi jaunga mein ", which means "I will stay in EsselWorld, and do not want to go home".

Imagicaa is a 130-acre (53 ha) theme park in Khopoli, India. It is owned by Imagicaa World Entertainment Ltd. Imagicaa is listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The Malpani Group from Sangamner are the promoters, with Mr. Rajesh Malpani as Chairman, Mr. Jai Malpani as MD, and Mr. Dhimant Bakshi as CEO. Imagicaa is an integrated holiday destination spread over 110 acres. It contains a water park, the hotel Novotel Imagicaa with 287 Rooms and a large banqueting facility, and India's largest snow park with real edible snow. The Coastal Road is an under construction 8-lane, 29.2-km long grade separated expressway that would run along Mumbai's western coastline connecting Marine Lines in the south to Kandivali in the north. It is projected to be used by 130,000 vehicles daily, and is expected to reduce travel time between South Mumbai and the Western Suburbs from 2 hours to only 40 minutes. The estimated cost of the project is 13,060 crore (US$1.6 billion). Its first phase, which is under-construction, is a 10.58 km section from Princess Street flyover to the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

The Panje-Dongri wetlands is located in the coastal town of Uran, Navi Mumbai in Raigad district of Maharashtra in India. It is a major bird watching site in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The wetland is home to 1.4 lakhs migratory birds in the winter. It is the last surviving wetland at Uran.
