Anugerah Juara Lagu, commonly known by the acronym AJL, is a popular annual music competition in Malaysia, organised by TV3 since 1986. Estranged is a Malaysian alternative rock band that formed in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur in 2001. Currently comprising vocalist Rich Gimbang –who was known as a contestant in the 4th season of Akademi Fantasia–, lead guitarist Nor Hanafi and rhythm guitarist Din Hormatov, the band have released three full-length albums: In Hating Memory (2004), Remain Unknown (2008), Anugerah Hidup (2013) and an extended play (EP): Sepenuhnya Vol. 1 (2016). Bunkface is a Malaysian rock band formed in 2006. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam (Shamsul Anuar), bass guitarist Youk (Farouk Jaafar), lead guitarist Paan (Ahmad Farhan), and drummer Biak (Alif Sufian). The name Bunkface was suggested by Biak which was influenced from the Sum 41 song titled "Crazy Amanda Bunkface". Popular songs by Bunkface include Silly Lily, Situasi, Revolusi, Prom Queen, Through My Window, Ekstravaganza, Rentak Laguku, Malam Ini Kita Punya, Darah Muda and Masih Di Sini. It is divided into three major events that are given the most attention by the fans, media, and record companies in Sarawak. In addition to singing, she spent two years teaching music at the Bentley Music Academy in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
Siti Sarah Raissuddin was a Malaysian singer and actress. She started her career in the music industry when she became the final contestant of 2001 edition of Bintang RTM. She also won Best New Artist, Best Pop Album and Best Album at the 2003 Anugerah Industri Muzik. In addition, she also won the Best Female New Artist award at the 2003 Anugerah Planet Muzik. She was also the only new artist to be nominated in the Best Female Artist category which was won by Siti Nurhaliza that year.
Haliza Hanim Abd Halim is a Malaysian singer, actress, songwriter and businesswoman. She started his career in the Malaysian music industry at the age of 17 after winning as the runner-up in the Golden Teen Search singing competition organized by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) in 1996. After the program ended, she was proposed to by a recording company, Suria Records. She is one of the proteges of Adnan Abu Hassan and is considered one of Malaysia's best singers who dominated the music industry in the 2000s, in line with renowned vocalists such as Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, Dayang Nurfaizah and Misha Omar.
