Ethan Hampton nicknamed E-Mobile, is an American football quarterback. He recently played for the Northern Illinois Huskies.
Hampton attended high school at Aurora Christian Schools located in Aurora, Illinois. In Hampton's sophomore season, he threw for 2,457 yards and 31 touchdowns along with 13 interceptions. [1] During Hampton's junior season he would throw for 2,130 yards and 28 touchdowns with just five interceptions. [2] Coming out of high school, Hampton was rated as a three-star recruit, where he committed to play college football for the Northern Illinois Huskies. [3] [4]
During Hampton's first three seasons at Northern Illinois, he appeared in eleven games while making for starts for the Huskies where he completed 95 of his 165 passes for 968 yards and nine touchdowns with eight interceptions. [5] [6] [7] In week one of the 2024 season, Hampton earned the Huskies starting job where he completed 18 of his 20 pass attempts for 328 yards and five touchdowns, as he helped Northern Illinois to a win over Western Illinois. [8] For his performance he was named the MAC offensive player of the week. [9] In week two, Hampton completed ten of his nineteen passing attempts for 198 yards and a touchdown, as he helped the Huskies pull off one of the biggest upsets, taking down #5 Notre Dame. On December 1, 2024, Hampton entered the transfer portal. [10]

Donald Lee Beebe is an American college football coach and former wide receiver. He is the head football coach for Aurora University, a position he has held since 2019. He previously played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. In addition to his six seasons with the Bills, who selected him in the third round of the 1989 NFL draft, he was a member of the Carolina Panthers during their inaugural season and played for the Green Bay Packers in his last two seasons.

The Huskies compiled an overall record of 11–3 with a mark of 8–0 in conference play, winning the MAC's West Division title. The team advanced to the MAC Championship, where they lost the Miami RedHawks. Northern Illinois was invited to the Humanitarian Bowl, where they defeated Fresno State. The Huskies were led by third-year head coach Jerry Kill during the regular season and for the MAC title game before KIll resigned to become the head football coach at the University of Minnesota. Tom Matukewicz was appointed interim head coach for the bowl game. The team played home games at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb, Illinois.

The 2013 Poinsettia Bowl was an American college football bowl game that was played on December 26, 2013 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The ninth edition of the Poinsettia Bowl, it featured the Mountain West Conference Mountain Division champion Utah State Aggies against the Mid-American Conference West Division champion Northern Illinois Huskies. It was one of the 2013–14 bowl games that concluded the 2013 FBS football season. It began at 6:30 p.m. PST and aired on ESPN. The game was sponsored by the San Diego County Credit Union and was officially known as the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Utah State defeated Northern Illinois by a score of 21–14.
