Ethiopost is the national postal service of Ethiopia.

Objective

The purpose of the Ethiopost is to allow a portal for mail acceptance, transfer deliveries and other postal services for its customers. The act of allowing these services to take place initially started as a need for the Ethiopian people to communicate on a nationwide scale. Ethiopost was created by Law with the view to establish and promote Postal Services based on the development.

As part of the reform process, the name of the organization has been changed from 'Ethiopian Postal Service Enterprise' to 'Ethiopost' in 2019.

Shashamane is a city in southern Ethiopia. Located in the Oromia Region with a 2007 Census population of 100,454, but with an estimated 208,368 inhabitants in mid 2022; the town is known for its Rastafarian community. Dila is a market town and separate woreda in southern Ethiopia. The administrative center of the Gedeo Zone in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region (SNNPR), it is located on the main road from Addis Ababa to Nairobi. The town has a longitude and latitude of 6°24′30″N38°18′30″E, with an elevation of 1570 meters above sea level. It was part of Wenago woreda and is currently surrounded by Dila Zuria woreda.

Hosaena is a town and separate woreda in southern Ethiopia, and the administrative center of the Hadiya Zone. Located in the Central Ethiopia Regional State, Hosaina has a latitude and longitude of 7°33′N37°51′E with an elevation of 2177 meters above sea level. It was part of Limo woreda and is surrounded by it.

Welkite is a town and separate woreda in south-western Ethiopia. The administrative center of the Central Ethiopia Regional State, and Gurage zone. The town has a latitude and longitude of 8°17′N37°47′E and an elevation between 1910 and 1935 meters above sea level. According to the government, Welkite is one of 12 towns with electrical power, one of 11 with telephone service and one of nine that have postal service. The SNNPR's Bureau of Finance and Economic Development, adds that as of 2003 Welkite also had a bank branch and other financial institutions, as well as a hospital. An all-weather road was built in 1963 which connects Welkite to Addis Ababa by way of Endibir.

The National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) is an intelligence agency of the Ethiopian federal government tasked with gathering information of national interests. It does counter-terrorism in the country by informing the federal police, gathering intelligence for the Ethiopian National Defense Force, and information for local law enforcement. The NISS is under the provision of the Ministry of Peace. It reports to the ministry of its tasks and missions. It was re-established in 2013 and renamed the National Intelligence and Security Service.
